In Smutley's playthrough it's pretty clear that Chessboard is evil, and even (with his choices) gets the main character killed. Wu probably wanted to develop that more in the sequel she will never get.

From my own misspent youth, I guarantee she had a trilogy in mind.

The "humor" is LOL RANDOM ACCESS X-DDDDD jokes. There are a couple funny lines, but you have Holiday saying things like "Wappity-pow!" and having Crimson 09 turning into a meme spouting sassy version of GLADoS. It's funny because of how zany it is, which is totally at odds with the entire story and backstory of Rev60 being played completely straight.

Brianna has no idea what subtlety is. She wants a Star Wars-esque lite space adventure with Mass Effect styled deep choices and drama. You can't mix the two, it won't jive. Either the players will write off the drama as simply a farce because of Le Jokes, or they'll find the humor so out of place that it sours the entire game for them.

Here, this is from the end of my play through, from a super evil robot to a suddenly traitorous character.

Unknown, but checked the account. Commented enmasse mere hours ago, all of it whiteknighting Wu in the most obvious way, repeating the lie Geth was banned for harassment (which he stated on his own blog even he doesn't know why he was SUSPENDED, reasons still not clear to his knowledge), spewing all sorts of refuted Wu BS boilerplate.

Brianna has always been a hero for women's rights. In college she refused to let a professor give her a substandard grade just because she was a woman. She has long been living this fight. You can just observe the massive hate in this comment thread for proof that women are hated.

Can confirm. Not only your own comments but everything. I was there when you (?) first posted it and again today and could upvote the same comments again. Pretty sad when they can't even muster some attention for an article on MTV. Or maybe i'm just old, maybe nobody cares about music television anymore...

It seemed odd almost all the flyntworks posts had at least one upvote despite being downvoted into oblivion, seems whoever owns the sock was trying to very lazily give the illusion someone gave a damn about the BS they were spewing.

In other news, Twitter's stock is still tanking hard even though every other social media site seems to be recovering from a major dip in the Dow. I also looked over most of Wu's most recent tweets, most of the asspatters are the same old faces, and Wu has far less than he used to.

I can't get over this idea that, somehow, women "in the games industry" are harassed simply for being women. It's so untrue. Most dudes (aka a huge percentage of the hardcore crowd) see a woman who's fiercely into games or hell, even conceptualizes or creates games at some level, and they go "Oh my god, that is so cool!" I just can't understand this 'harassment' narrative these people keep trying to push when it's so easy to find mountains of evidence to the contrary.

I'm pretty sure the only people buying into the narrative are the people who only care about reading a lurid headline and not really finding out much more about the story and the people who have a vested interest in the narrative being correct to prove their own beliefs about evil male harassers on the internet being the reason why they never got anywhere in life. This is pure speculation, but it's my theory that a lot of Wu's asspatters are Gen-Xers around her age (Upper 30's) who aren't very good with technology/the internet and see Wu as someone who is very hip as a result. I think these sorts of dodos are just trying to look like they are in touch with the cool new feminism all the hot 23 year-olds with rainbow hair are talking about and tossing ole Johnny likes and retweets.

I love how they seem to be aware of it too, and their hilarious "other sites on Google say we're full of shit, DON'T BELIEVE THEM" spiel.

You get the sense they want to outright scream "BELIEVE ONLY IN THE NARRATIVE!"

Given it's falling apart, I don't blame them for being so desperate, but it's sad as hell to watch, especially from Wu, who literally depends on said narrative to remain relevant.
 
I love that Wu when she spends 50k tweets criticizing and critiquing people and media is an sjw and game dev. But we spend less criticizing her and we need to "go do something constructive."

How does a person even do those kinds of mental gymnastics without deluding themselves?
 
Looks like we are heading back to (Twitter) business as usual with Brianna. I think she did a better job of pretending to have an assistant last time than she's done over the last couple of days. At least in her previous attempts she would try to half-ass post in third person.
