I read the economic analysis. IMO it's kinda flawed, largely extrapolating a few factors of economic slowdown and trying to say "capitalism is dying". Makes some good points about how our society is more info based than ever, but the solutions for the crisis it proposes are rather vague, and its overall conclusion seems to rest on a shitload of assumption.

The closest "mountain" to Arlington is an hour drive each way and a weak little 600 foot elevation gain from the trailhead. Even something as feeble as that would consume at least 4 hours of time (2 hours drive, 2 hours hike) for normal people, considerably more for a couple of flabby old dudes (like you and Frank) and a malnourished rat dog.

So you didn't "spend today" "hiking" up a "mountain" - and certainly not with one of your little rat dogs on a leash.

The only thing that I find unfeasible is the little dog. I don't know any little dogs that can spend more the 4 hours walking barefoot before they get tired. I totally believe that there is a mountain trail park somewhere with cell reception and they spent the day playing on it, including hiking, because it's wu who regularly delivers "keynote" talks about the time she was relentlessly harassed because she was a famous feminist godzilla game developer I assume that she's probable exaggerating. She has a certain need to inflate whatever is happening even if it's completely boring though.

Do any of our kiwi-shrinks wanna share names, causes, and so on for someone who is constantly almost telling the truth?
