Macworld's @GlennF has decided to call me "oBri-Wan-Kenobi." They tried to strike me down, and now I'm more powerful.

Yes, John, you're very powerful. That's why you have about 5,000 fewer followers (42,330) than an empty chair (47,026).

Thank you for sharing your washed-up shill friend's insights, John.

A reminder that a new segment has been started involving Brianna Wu's article on the Wiki. Contribute today! We need more details on BriBri being a complete shit, beyond ones we know about like the Sophia Banks incident. If you know of any, post 'em!

EDIT: So I was doing research for Brianna Wu's article today and I took a brief dip into her Xyo.net page to see what the reviews of Revolution 60 were like. Tell me if any of these strike out to you as unusual:

  • Unique 'designed for touchscreen' game mechanics, decision based gameplay, with a fantastic story and characters come together to create a truly charming and unique game.It reminds of old school puzzle/adventure games, a little slow to get going, but the experience is top notch.

  • Excellent game. Fresh take on character interaction, story progression, and fighting mechanics. Amazing animations and great detail down to the hair. Definitely recommend buying the full version.

  • The highest praise I can give a phone game. Excellent production, music, and combat with a story that drags you in.A great game if you're looking for:-Interesting story with voiced lines-Fun and quick battles-Simple controls-Striking, memorable visuals-A strong cast of women who kick some butt!

  • Revolution 60 is the real deal - excellent story and voice acting, striking graphics, and a surprisingly deep combat system that makes excellent use of the touchscreen. This feels like the best take on a Mass Effect-style game you could ask for on iOs.

  • Revolution 60 is a very well made and entertaining title. it takes a console quality action game and brings it to touch brilliantly with out the use of wonky false touch screen annalog sticks. The use of player choice in this game also helps the game to be more compelling. This is a fantasic game i can't wait to see what this studio does next!

  • Not gonna lie, I was a bit put off by the visuals initially, but decided to give this a go despite that. Glad I did, as the style grew on me, and I really liked the completely impractical but different from the norm ship and environment designs.Gameplay wise, it drags a little here and there, and some of the battles took a while, but that could just be due to extra caution on my part. The combat system works great for a touch interface, and the roaming segments felt better than expected as well. The game has a fair amount of meat to it, making me a little hesitant to go plowing through multiple times to see all the endings, but that's just a personal thing and, if anything, is a testament to how much is packed in there.Definitely recommended, especially if you're looking for more than just a tap-fest to kill time here and there. You can break this into sessions of any size, but you'll likely want to have a few good sit-downs with it.

  • Very different and unique game play - I like the different input methods which seem ideally suited for the iPad. Hoping for more adventure scenarios in the future

  • I don't buy many games but wanted to buy this as a small act of support against GG.Personally I didn't really enjoy the combat mechanics and there was too much of the combat when I wanted to get on with the story. The animation of the character wandering over slowly to deliver the final shot to the head also got a bit repetitive and annoying especially when her friend was seriously wounded. I would probably have given it 4 stars for the gameplay alone. My only other complaint would be the lack of variety in the main characters body shapes were pretty uniform and impossible. If you added the three characters waists together you might get to the size of a slim human.

  • Great game! Although I have quibbles with some details, overall I love it. I failed (FAILED) the first time through, considered how to change my strategy (hint: make a commitment and don't try to play it neutral), and picked it right back up.Looking forward to the next version!

  • The characters and game play are highly addicting. It has a unique and clever combat system with multiple decision points, character development and I actually cared about the outcome for the characters. The story can be a bit tortuous at time but still the action blows by some of the oriental culture type oddities.I give this game the ultimate compliment - I have played it twice and plan to play it again to see what the different outcomes are.

  • My daughter generally isn’t into this type of game. But having heard Ms. Wu on some podcasts, I decided this might be a good game to get her interested. My daughter loved it. And I found myself having fun watching her play. It’s so well done. As others have said, the voice acting is excellent. The combat is accessible to people who aren’t gaming pros. Download the demo. It’s great, and I was happy to pay the full $5.99 for the rest of the game.

  • I have been enjoying playing this game. The voices and the characters are more like a living comic book telling a story than some shooter. I love that there are different endings and am liking trying to figure out how to the the different ones.

  • Really. Even when you loose the spectacularly, the story is complete, the ending is fantastic, and the game is satisfying. The story itself is good enough to be a movie. Most of the fun was waiting for the next plot point. The combat is fun and lively, esp. the last battle.

  • I really can't stop playing it! I got through the demo part and knew I had to buy it! I don't usually buy games for phones/tablets, but this one really had me hooked. The story is exciting and fun to follow, I can't wait to play again and try to see all the different endings! its really visually stimulating and I love the characters. frell yeah an action/adventure game with female lead!

  • Bought this for my daughter. She says it's like "playing a movie." Then her brother started playing because the plot is absorbing. They want a sequel. I just want my turn!

All of these reviews were five stars.

Curious, no?

Some would of came from Wu but no doubt those could come from white knights. Either way, the reviews wouldn't be of much use since they could be paid reviews, reviews from white knights of Brianna Wu, and of course from Wu herself. A product with five stars would be suspicious since it means these people imply that there was nothing wrong with the game, even though fellow Kiwi @Smutley mentioned what was wrong with the game itself.

Judging from her close friends in the Mac tech circle I'd be willing to bet money GlennF was a little bit closer than the random journo she is pushing him to be by her referring to his publication before him…

Not to mention pushing a throwaway tweet under the umbrella of that publication by this wording.

They're close friends.

"Last night, my friend Brianna Wu and I spoke at length — 2 hours and 20 minutes — for a special episode of her co-hosted podcast series, Isometric."

....Motherfucker. Can Wu get any press without being personal friends with those hosting it? I'm legit curious.

I'm mostly surprised someone like Wu can have friends honestly

Actually, Wu's friends can be separated into three groups

1. People he shills for - These tend to be the ones in the computer and gaming industry (you know, the very ones Gamergate is trying to expose), so of course they fiercely defend him because Wu returns the favor, and Gamergate has made everyone it attacks extremely defensive, whether or not they had a victim complex to begin with.

2. Fellow SJWs - As we all know, SJWs are more about appearing to be righteous than actually being righteous, so a hypocrite like Wu is in good company with these morons, all of which fiercely defend each other for reasons I don't need to elaborate.

3. Unwashed morons - The well meaning but very stupid who Wu managed to befriend via legit means who trollshield for Wu because they are too stupid to realize Wu is using them and that Wu enjoys having extra meatshields around. These tend to turn on Wu once he throws them to the wolves. These types also tend to be willfully blind to the mountains of evidence Wu is a lying attention whore.

Of the three groups, the first, if they were neutralized, would severely cripple Flynt's chances of getting anyone who gives a shit to take him seriously, the second is just an army of sheep, and the third are used as meatshields to fend off "harassment" (i.e. - fob off anything Wu doesn't want to face public scrutiny on because Wu knows he'd get his credibility shot to hell if he did it himself).

"A bit slow at first"
"I was a bit put off by the models"
It probably killed Wu to write those down

He can shill his game all he wants, in the end the only thing that really counts is that it's pretty terrible.

Rev 60 will end up as a minor footnote in GamerGate history and that's it.

Wu's PR skills make me want to drink myself unconscious. Meltdowns like this are why actual companies entrust their online presence to professionals who can manage their emotions.
