Destroyed... yeah I would also state my opinion as being a fact to lick the wound.

So she's complaining that x doesn't get mentioned often enough, and when informed that x does in fact get plenty of coverage, she maintains her position by noting that coverage of x is lacking in the sources she personally follows? In other words, she's reading a bunch of sports magazines and complaining that they barely mention NASA's Pluto probe?

I'm not surprised to see Wu on Slashdot. I quit that site years ago because of the shit UI changes and the click baiting and shilling in their selection of stories. And how the fuck is she making 3k per month for "creating video games"? Do Patreon supporters actually get something out of this, like freebie copies of the games she makes and sells, poorly, as commercial products? And if the Patreon is to help towards shipping Revolution60 and Cupcake Crisis, then what happened to the Kickstarter $12,728 that was supposed to cover this and get out a product that is now 11 months late? Are these people too dumb to notice that she's really not doing anything she's promised in Kickstarter or Patreon?

That's not what they're saying. What they're saying is that if you misgender her, it gets in the way of discussing the real issues and turns everything into a mess of gender wank. Unless they have crazy made-up pronouns that make things a grammatical mess, it's probably better to just play along if you want serious discussion, instead of fighting them on things like this. That just causes a mess as everyone has to weigh in on trans issues instead of actually getting to the lulzy/informative stuff, and the target can just use it as an excuse to ignore you.

It doesn't even matter though. You can be as respectful and civil as possible but if the question is "wrong" she will ignore it and just lie about it. When presented with facts about the Joker and Harley Quinn she outright said her feels and perception trumps facts. "Mmm, yeah" was right on the money.

Just saying, in general, that bringing in transwank is normally just a huge waste of everyone's time. If they thought they had a chance at an interview, driving her away and getting people to talk about how unfair they were for picking on the poor trans woman wasn't productive.

Too true, but the crux was that John was gonna walk as soon as wasn't getting asspats, as he himself made clear, though that didn't help matters at all.

I really doubt they care. They donate to Wu to either relieve themselves of the guilt of being white cis male scum, to "showoff" how supportive they are of womyn's rights or to help advance their ideology which Brianna does by playing the victim on twiter. Most of them are well-off anyway - usually not from their own labor - so they don't really see wasting money as an issue.

I'm still not sure how the monetization on Patreon even works. I remember hearing somewhere that payouts are tied to actually putting out content. I know that alot of artists will do particular requests each month based on how much a patron gives. Can anyone explain how Patreon's system actually works please?

According to the Wikipedia article it can either be a flat rate per month or based on the release of works. Wu appears to have opted for the monthly welfare and not the option that would require her to actually produce something tangible for the money.

Edit: I think it's quite clear she is not wanting to commit to anything. The Patreon is ostensibly for making video games, yet the bulk of her time appears to be spent arguing on Twitter and attending speaking engagements. If she were honest, and using Patreon to support games making, it would be unreasonable to expect her to churn out a new game each month. Even still, could she not even commit to posting monthly status updates on the games? Well, she'd be shit at that. The Kickstarter, now 11 months overdue hasn't seen an update since March. I think three months is rather a long time to go silent when you've taken over 10k. In fact some of her backers have been asking for updates since at least April:

How are her Kickstarter backers taking this?

Seems in three months she's not taken five minutes away from Twitter to provide an update on that 12k she took. Knowing her short attention span and self-interest, I'd be genuinely surprised if she actually delivers Mac and PC ports. More likely, it seems, she'll move on to her next game.

Thank you, John, for all your sage advice on how to be a professional - particularly the part about not acting like a diva. No one walks the walk better than you, John.

Behold Wu's newest and most shameless kissass.

Check out the comments, try not to throw up in your mouth.

Jeffrey Banks lists Arlington, MA as his location in his Twitter profile. Where have I heard of that 43,000 person, 5 square mile place before? Hmm...

I like how John pretends this guy is some random reviewer that he's never encountered before. Let's take a time machine all the way back to May 25:

or May 29:

So he just adores the game on its own merits. It's not like he has an ideological axe to grind or knows John personally.

Seems totally legit to me, like everything about John.

1. Bobinks that's the ONE and only rule for LWu.

LWu!!!!! Oh, you! :story::story::story::story::story:

A professional gets there NO MATTER WHAT, even when being challenged to a street race to disprove your lies :jaceknife:

Hottest place to get an interview? Playboy's website. Come on LWu you can't be so blind, though to be honest those glasses would probably impair your sight indoors. But seriously what happened to the "this women have agency, and chose this job, sex positive feminism!!1!11!"

You're excluded from the culture because you're a terrible person Johnny. You abuse your husband, you can't admit your mistakes, and you complain about misogyny and shit in places where it doesn't exist, therefore creating a culture of not taking it seriously.

If anyone is promoting sexist culture. It's YOU!

Wu knew this would happen and it was inevitable. Sure, the "hey you're a tranny right" gives her an excuse to ignore "hey you're a well known con artist aren't you?" But so what? It's still transparent and the slashdotters really didn't care about any answers to questions to her. They were just pissed off that a forum was even being given to a scamming piece of shit, so Wu flouncing was a perfectly fine result from their perspective.
