Trying to stay relevant maybe? McNita knows that without a large amount of outrage they'll fade away fairly quickly and that means less money. They need confrontation to maintain their position.

Only problem is that McNita, in this instance, are being dumber than Wu. They chose to die on the violent video games hill as of late and it's bought them nothing but grief. Wu is still spouting nonsense as usual, but was wise enough not to dwell on doubling down on that, and my guess is that Wu saw how bad they were getting razzed and decided to pick (very marginally) less idiotic things to rant about.

But seems everyone is getting tired. The "she is mediocre in her critique but is needed" rings more hollow as each day seems clear that she is more desperate for having a attention than making any sort of point. The only apologism I see right now is "She is throwing softball and you getting mad. Neckbeards virgins that get mad at everything" ( thanks NeoGaf splinter forum, thebore, is nice to see even lower discourse than motherfucking /r/neofag) one that doesn't makes a ton of sense since she seems pretty comfortable in getting awards,talking with celebrities, talks or invited at media events even if her critique is pedestrian even by gender studies standards.

Like, even "harassed and threatened" is becoming more laughable as they take their time to rant in Twitter, go to a party in Notch new house and get mad to actual celebrities friends.

I never said it was a good or smart idea for them. I'm guessing that they aren't raking in the cash like they used to and are getting desperate, so they're resorting to doing stupider than usual tactics to try and keep the patreonbux flowing.

Could also be that their egos have finally gotten so massive that they're doing dumber shit because they think they're completely untouchable. If that's the case then it'll only be a matter of time before the pull a McCarthy (or Cotton Mather) and attack a target much more capable and willing to wreck their shit.

Like I said though, I'm only guessing (and kind of hoping).
