Who will pay for all the new lines to be recorded by the original voice actors?? Having to raise the funds for more lines could push this project past it's release date!

Brianna will probably do the voices herself.

Wait a minute. Didn't she tweet a few weeks ago that she WASN'T going to "George Lucas" Revolution 60 and that the sequel was going to address all of its shortcomings?

Just imagine if the topic of menstruation was addressed in games...

You have received: MENSTRUATION

Berserker mode enabled
All Male NPC's will flee for 5 days
You may cry at the slightest thing
You gain a strange craving for Iced Sweetrolls.

FIRST BLOOD

Menstruation DLC confirmed for Rev60 Master Race Edition?
You know, I kind of wish she would. As @drtoboggan pointed out, menstruation can be in a story without breaking the flow (ba-dum-tish!) of things, but something tells me Wu would handle it about as well as she handles female empowerment.

Her segment is over. If someone can post a summary about it, that would be great, cuz I suck at summaries.

The only thing I can say that she didn't show Jace again
wow thats disrespectful against MARINES dude :jaceknife:

Here is the summary:

It was the normal Wu speech that they give about gamergate and how brianna wu is awesome, etc. The only difference was that Brianna didn't know that she was only going to be speaking for 30 minutes and thus had to rush through a bunch of it right at the end, which was fairly hilarious. Also their face looked oddly bloated imo.

so one of her chars is going to speak and act like a horrible stereotype? edit.. oh wasn't.... ;) just assumed with wu's track record.

You know something that makes me go :alog:?

It's the fact that Brianna hasn't done anything to inspire people (especially women) how to go in gamedev. So far, in her speaking segments in cons, all that she has talked about is the goshdarn sexism and the damn GamerGaters who ruins everyone's lifes with mean words on the computer!!!! I haven't seen anything so far about Unreal, game design, how the industry works, any of that. (If someone can link me anything like that, it would be great.)

She said that she would rather talk about this sorts of things.

Then, Brianna, what the fuck is stopping you?

Oh, I guess you can't exactly get much Patreon bucks by not whining about shit you can help fix.

And that's the galling part. Wu, assuming he was competent and truly gave a damn about the causes he allegedly supports, could earn a LOT more by providing expert advice on game design and feminism to people who could be even better fiscal sponsors, but that takes effort, and since Wu's greatest effort was probably his last shit, I can see why he prefers the low hanging fruit of the SJW crowd and Patreon money.

Also their face looked oddly bloated imo.

Honestly, it always looks puffy to me whenever Wu is caught on film without her various camera tricks. I think it could be due to poor diet considering this is a person who thinks chugging Soylent is a great substitute for actual meals.

1. waaaaah it's dat dang dirty GamerGate again ;_;

4. Another talk again. Wooo!

I can't believe she's being paid to give lectures. If my university did that I would be protesting the misuse of student fees/tuition.

I seriously doubt she actually gets paid for these speaking engagements because they are all like 3rd tier events. Randi Harper's recent drama demanding to be paid for speaking at conferences shed more light on this for me, I'm fairly certain Wu does it primarily for the exposure and to seem professional in their field (not that this is a terrible strategy in any way). Inviting Wu to your backwater convention is also probably great for business because of the internet drama they gin up in the process, but if they're giving her anything it's most likely hotel accommodations and MAYBE travel assistance.

Wu is an utter moron. Tor Books is one of the corporations that most benefited from the previous state of the Hugos, and having suffered in a completely fair election done precisely by the books, is apparently coming to the realization that if they want to regain their preeminence (it isn't like they don't publish some books worthy of the awards), they're going to have to regain the trust of the community.

Moronic sore-loser attacks on the voters who tossed them out isn't going to get them that.

It's probably not great for immediate business. Maybe it's okay if you're already planning on losing money on the convention and you want to get your name out there with some drama. But the inevitable result of having Wu is you're going to have to have security tied up with throwing people out who hurt her fee-fees and otherwise expend time and resources coddling an infantile narcissist. Meanwhile, you also run the risk that core fans are going to decide you're just some SJW Dashcon-wannabe and stay away in droves. Nobody wants to pay money for that.

It's a naked grab for respectability in the event Gamergate quits bringing home money. By bringing up all the times he's lectured on feminism, even if he has to blur the details, he can fool the unwashed into thinking he's an expert on the subject, even if almost all of was "hear myself talk about how great I am" sessions people were stupid enough to pay money to listen to.

The problem with that strategy is that Wu needs to produce a viable product, or at least the reasonable expectation of one. Anita Sarkeesian at least managed the latter when she released the first few videos, so there was enough reason to believe for awhile Sarkeesian was going to deliver more than whining and entitlement. Sarkeesian is also far more diplomatic and smooth talking by comparison.

Wu is just a loudmouthed demagogue and it shows, and in the long term I don't see this buying Wu any long term stability, fiscally or in any other professional way.

Also, the woman bitching 24/7 about sexism and masculine-derived violence in videogames who developed a game about bratz dolls-like abominations winning the day through violence. Her hypocrisy pattern is so depressingly predictable it's becoming less fun to point it out day after day
