Actually, to add more to this which probably is more relevant due to its origins, Skullgirls has an alternate play mode called Typing of the Skullgirls much in the vein of Dead but the intent of how fast words can be typed in place of conventional fighting game mechanics is to actually allow players who aren't proficient at a joystick and keys to have a way to fight with proficent players on a more even playing field.
However, for Retarded 60, Wu's only ripping that system off because it's the most straightfoward method to port the existing gameplay of "reaction speed input." Just replace touchscreen button commands with how fast you can type.

1. Does Brianna EVER speak at public events that are strictly gaming related? No asspatting events on "equality in games" or a lefty-female-whatever-event, but strictly something gaming/coding related?
Because she seems to have two extremely thin excuses for the criticism she's getting:
"welp, they're just saying mean things cuz I'm a woman!" and...
"well, it's not perfect, BUT we only had 4 people/half a million dollars and 4 years to finish it!"
I can imagine that for people who occasionally play Angry Birds, but don't have any exposure to games beyond that, may buy these two arguments. but surely anybody who games even just occasionally (let alone someone with actual coding experience) can immediately recognize what a gigantic lump of shit Revolution 60 is, no?
Looks shitty, no? But wait, those letters?!? They weren't in the iOS game? Nope, that's cause this is supposedly the steam version, where the lame touchscreen fighting system has been replaced with something even lamer. The player has to use his keyboard to write whatever words get shown on the screen, I shit you not!

I just read that dev chat, and it's both enlightening and worthy of facepalm:
Right! Before I started working on this, my primary work before had been in illustration doing 2D artwork. I had literally never used a 3D program before Revolution 60, which I think kind of speaks to my, “Let’s go in there and do it!” kind of attitude.
Basically, Wu straight up admits why the 3D sucks, he just plunged in without attempting to hone his craft, he was learning as he went along. Bad idea, especially if you are making something you want to profit off of, since this only lengthens development time and costs due to your incompetence.
One thing after working with 3D models now every day for five years is, my sense of what I think looks right in 3D has expanded for the better.
If what is currently in Rev 60 is "better", then Wu's first efforts must have been epically shittier than the turds we currently see.
Sabriel: I’ve heard you talk on Twitter about the redesigns you’ve made on the main characters. What are some of the things you’ve done and what has been the driving force behind these changes?
Brianna: First of all, we have to rerig all models and do things like verify the skeletal mesh, making sure it looks right. We use bone influencing joint system, which means we don’t use morph targets. There are bones underneath Holiday, and when Holiday is animated, you literally have bones that are flying around and moving. We have to make sure that when she’s moving we have to make sure the right parts of her skin are moving. It’s a very complicated process and by drastically changing a character, we have to make sure that it’s still going to work.
Wu, are you kidding? Rigging bone mapping isn't that damn hard if you have a good idea what you intend to do and leave yourself a margin of error so animation mistakes can be corrected. I mean, damn, it shouldn't be that hard to add scripting to correct for actor height, unless you don't know how to code worth a damn, and the bone map should be rigged so they snap to the skeleton, something an idiot using Blender could pull off. Also, you picked a static, hard to change skeletal model early and didn't redo things once you realized the hassle, which anyone with a brain would have picked up early in development? Methinks you fucked up, were too proud to admit it, and decided to go ahead with pounding square pegs into round holes.

I love gorgeous women but for me, to feel really good about this game release, I realized that I was in a position to take a step back and redo the character models.
Again Wu, surely you realize the contradiction here: To be a good SJW, you wouldn't have oversexualized the art in the first place, so you just admitted it was based on your personal taste, not for the crowd you beg for Patreon money from, so you had to redo the art somewhat to keep the cash going. Well, that and mask the fact Holiday is a bad Miranda Lawson ripoff.
