Guess which game has every one on those list except two?

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

It's true of both campaigns.

Echo Six includes a gay male commanding officer (Dee-Ay), a white female southerner intel specialist (party girl), a saucy brit demo specialist with hearing difficulties (Tweed), a field scientist from Zimbabwe who is in Echo Six out of revenge for what Umbrella did in Africa (Shona), A former american biker turned field medic (Harley), and a half-native american stealth specialist (Willow).

Delta Team includes a PTSD-afflicted former french military soldier who looks at her squad members as family (Lupo), an Autistic savant field scientist (Four-Eyes), a disabled demolitions specialist (Beltway), a psychotic german medic with sadistic tendencies (Bertha), a Russian serial blackmailer (Spectre), and an Asian amnesiac USS soldier with loyalty issues (Vector).

The most fun part of this is that the protagonists of ORC never rub this shit in your face. It's all secondary to how they play and how the game itself is. Indeed, you'll only find out about half of these if you dig up their dossiers in their profile data. None of this is done flippantly or just inclusion for inclusion's sake, they're actually all pretty badass and each one is dripping with personality in-game. Operation Raccoon City was by no means worth it at launch, but it's a damned good game (once you patch the thing and get the actual DLC that was supposed to be free but then Capcom fucked up on) in both single and multiplayer. It's also apparently inclusive as all fuck and the SJWs won't touch it because it's violent and has zombies and death and guns.

Also there was a game on the NES called Faria where you were a woman who used to be a man and then became a man again in the end doesn't that count as a transgender protagonist.

I guess Brianna has never played Remember Me, Left 4 Dead 2, Mortal Kombat X, Dead Island One and Riptide, Lost Odyssey, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Assassin's Creed: Liberation, Walking Dead Season 2, Resident Evil 5, or basically any fighting game series in the last decade. And that's just covering the black woman part.

Also, have to bring up the "people who live in glass houses," expression here Bri-Bri. Last time I checked, Revolution 60 wasn't exactly too full of a multi-cultural cast that shared any identifiable sexual preferences or physcial disabilities (sans for one character with glasses).

Brianna, dear, when a game like Wolfenstein: The New Order, a game about shooting Nazis on the moon with dual shotguns, has more cultural and physical diversity than your game, a ragtag half-dozen snarky bitches, you really got no room to be bitching.

Still, looking at her Steam profile, it's so hard to even see what sort of games she's actually passionate about. Over a hundred games and she has barely touched any. Even Civ V has a piddling amount to it considering what the game is like. We can assume she's really into Mass Effect given how much she ripped off for her own game but most of the stuff she's taken from it are things that can be seen within the first eight hours of the game. The only game we've seen any significant time investment in is Peggle. It's like Wu is more into having games just to complain about them than she is to play them.

I find it weird enough that people want to be similar to video game protagonists; I've never sat down and thought "adventure is fun and all but this protagonist is a straight, skinny person and this prevents me from understanding what's going on."

But this is a fucking laundry list. And that's worse.

The entire point of this whole representation kerfuffle is to have stories that respectfully integrate characters of backgrounds less often seen in video games. So having a starting point of "so we need 2 translatinx, 3 tablespoons Asian, and a Rohingya with a cleft palate" is not going to help the problem because none of these characters are going to be people. And that's not even something that bothers me that much, that's just the straight-up Sarkeesian definition of what these people want.

Also the idea that there should be autistic protagonists fails on two counts: 1) this is supposed to be entertainment and if you're going to bring in blaming autism for your faults you'd might as well dump in all the other bullshit facets of life we play video games to escape, and 2) protagonists are already pretty darn autistic considering silent protagonists (=all of Nintendo), clunky controls that make it so that the character isn't doing the really obvious thing they should be doing, and those games where nothing can touch you or you die.

As for disabled/gay protagonists. Grand Theft Auto V once again. All three protagonists have some form of mental illness and Trevor is not exactly straight.
