Any psychological disorder, regardless of what, would hamstring her on #4. A common and/or minor one like Depression? Maybe a month or two. A huge one, like a personality disorder? It could have gotten her disallowed from having SRS entirely or delayed her transitioning by fucking years.

Although Brianna has been known in the past for not always being true and honest, various of her statements indicate several psychiatric disorders:

• 1) On August 2014, Brianna said that she has suffered from PTSD. Supposedly, she was still having daily flashbacks at that time.

• 2) If you'll look some more at the archived tweets in the link above, you'll also see that Brianna also admitted that for five years she self-medicated her PTSD with Ambien and alcohol. In Only Fools Mess with Brianna, Brianna talks about a five years long Ambien addiction, which she describes as "crippling". In one Susan post Brianna mentions recieveing a therapy called Professional Enhancement Program while being in a facility in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She said that even though the program was mainly for drug addicts, she was there for issues relating to trauma and gender identity. Not only is this claim dubious in light of Brianna's Ambein addiction, it was also disconfirmed by a post of hers on the IGN forum she wrote later on (this is definitely Wu's IGN forums account, I'll elaborate about this later in this post), in which she mentioned she went through rehab for Ambien addiction in the "same facility Tiger Woods went to for sex addiction". Tiger Woods went to sex rehab at the Pine Grove Rehabilitation Center at Hattiesburg, Mississippi, which offers a therapy called "Professional Enhancement Program".

• 3) In addition to PTSD and substance abuse, she also claims to have gone through a 7 years battle with depression, also related to trauma. Depression and PTSD could have been the reasons why she was taking Xanax.

So to sum it up, Brianna's statments indicate she has suffered or suffers from PTSD, depression and dubstance abuse. Presuming that Brianna is being trutful about the last one, I would guess that documentation of her time in rehab would be seen by a doctor looking at her medical records, along with her prescription for Xanax. It is interesting to note that in Only Fools she writes that "My endocrinologist was reluctant to treat me at first", although she says she managed to sway him eventually into giving her hormone therapy.

With all of the above being said, there's one major problem with my analysis; it's based entirely on claims made by Brianna Wu. I've already see some discrepancies in the stories she tells about herself, but I won't delve into this matter right now because it will make this post too long.

As you can see above, I've found Wu's account on the IGN forums. This user account cannot be said to some kind of a GamerGate-related forgery, as it was registered on 2008 and has more than 4000 posts. Likewise, the owner openly identifies as the maker of Revoluion 60 and signs her name as "Bri" (see here, here and here). I tried looking for lulz in her posts but didn't find a lot of interesting stuff. I still archived some posts which I will share with the forum later on but not right now, I don't want to make this post too long. If you still want to look at Brianna's IGN posts for yourselves than I suggest you'll get on to it, she might try to delete those posts if knowledge of them become too widespread.

While Brianna doesn't really explain how she came to suffer from PTSD, if I had to fit this claim into the rest of the stories she tells about herself I would assume the PTSD was caused by the attack on John Flynt that occurred in DC. As a former Ole Miss student once told:

I remember he [John Flynt] went through rush in either '02 or '03 and told us some off the wall story that he used to live in DC and that he had gotten stabbed in the back of the head during a mugging and had completely lost all of his memory, including his name.

There are some inconsistencies between the various version of this story as told by Brianna. In her introduction post in Susan's, Brianna places the time of this alleged incident as "2 weeks after we [America] invaded Iraq", which would mean the spring of 2003. But in Only Fools Mess with Brianna, the mugging of John Flynt occurs in 2002. Which version of the story is true? Is any version of this story is true, or are we seeing an early case of Brianna playing victim? The definite answer is probably known only to Brianna herself and a select few of individuals.

I don't think there was a head injury or whatever the hell Wu claims happened. It sounds more like she's coming up with some (ridiculous) explanation for not revealing much about her personal history. There's something there she isn't proud of and doesn't want people to know.

I don't want to keep stabbing a dying horse, but this is very reminiscent of similar individuals' complete incapacity to keep a story straight.

Yeah. The processes are so Byzantine that unless you've been in a few disputes as a dispassionate participant, you have no chance at something you feel strongly about. Actually in almost everyone, the ring finger is longer than the pointer, the difference is just typically (but not always) more pronounced in men.

...Not to criticize you, Koba, since I respect the right of any party to not give a fuck, but this thread is specifically about Brianna Wu, a lolcow to whom Gamergate is inexorably tied. She blames it for all her problems whilst at the same time failing to recognize how irrelevant she'd be without it to scream about. Rest assured, if Gamergate ended tomorrow, Wu would still be screaming about how victimized she was because of it. Wandering into a thread on said lolcow to complain about a key aspect of said lolcow strikes me as disingenuous.

But let me elaborate on Wu a bit.

Wu is a great example of the veracity of Gamergate claims. She has a number of gigantic conflicts-of-interest where she's been reviewed favorably by friends of hers and a history of taking action for other peoples' work. She has a history of self-victimizing and outright lying that's best surmised by this:

Wu's failures go beyond Gamergate, of course, as evidenced by that same image. Wu is more than just a Gamergate-related cow - she's a mix of Vade, Chris, Golden Knight, Moleman, Derek Smart, all rolled into one person. She is practically the grand unification theory of lolcows, so despite being so GG-integral, non-GG-supporters can look and laugh along with everyone else.

And here's a fun fact for everyone else. Have you ever wondered what her Steam userpic is? I'll tell you - It's Cloud of Darkness, from Dissidia:

Worth noting, Brianna Wu is also the head of a steam group called Brianna Wu.

It has 249 members, and a community that openly mocks her self-victimization. Practically everything mocking her on said group is immediately brought by Wu to Gamerghazi to show how oppressed she is.
