Before we begin, here's something glorious: Wu just pulled the trial version of Rev60 from the IOS Store, making it harder for people to actually find out what the game is about. Also, there's the BotNet Brianna Wu employed to bolster Rev60.

Now, on to the meat. Bear in mind, due to Poe's Law, I genuinely can't tell whether most of these are concern trolls fucking with Wu or genuine SJWs criticizing the game (spoiler: mostly the former). Then I realize I don't really care, as I'm capable of laughing at both:

The voting bot thing is delish, although afaik Steam doesn't explicitly forbid it. There are alot of Indie developers, who focus on their job, who don't run pity/oppression campaigns on Twitter/FB, who don't grease/cheat. And because consequently, they don't have such a media presence, there are quite alot of games who don't make it into Greenlight or don't pass it. And not getting on Steam means it is super hard to get enough financial return. The current system favors attention whores and shills like Flynnyboy. But since, surprisingly, votes don't equal sales, Steam wants to abolish the Greenlight system.

Prediction: We will eventually see an op/ed on Gamasutra, something on Polygon, and something on Jezebel that gets cross posted to Kotaku talking about how horrendous the treatment that Wu is receiving from all these mean Gators.

Everything she's done to discourage/censor criticism on Steam has backfired spectacularly and now she's paying the price by having her game receive lots of negative attention. I know that she's filthy rich (or rather, her parents are) so I wouldn't be surprised if Revolution 60 kept going on the strength of nothing but her own vanity, but it's clear that people aren't going to embrace it as the Best Game Ever for New Gamers like she hoped they would.

Games are successful on an objective basis. Do people play them? If not, they fail.

That's one thing that will happen to Wu's game if someone buys it. One guy sacrifices a few dollars to pirate it for all to enjoy the pain of Revolution 60. Wu may of succeeded in passing Greenlight, but that is nothing compared to how much she can get in the Steam store along with all the reviews she gets. Sure she can say she got thumbs up in some reviews but those are the kinds that would snark at her game, making a joke or two while being mocking towards her game.
