Which means, that the person probably didn't went to his/her bank before and told them that his/her gender might change.
As far as I know you should notice them if your surname changes, because of marriage or something.
Having a different gender is another level all together, unless you have a personal consultant there, you might want to really do this before you undergo any kind of transition.

In my mind it's just Wu fishing for tweets from the company that made the software she uses. I doubt they'd be actively seeking out Brianna "My Dick's in a Box" Wu who has such a low profile as a devoloper it's laughable.

The triforce of lolcows have collided for one massive circle jerk! But seriously, I really doubt that Depression Quest was that popular before Quinn did what she did.
Besides that, Depression Quest is the only game of Quinn's that people care about because it's bad.

It's amazing how much effort John and other losers invest in whining about all the reasons their games aren't roaring successes, except for the obvious explanation - which is that their games suck and no one likes them. Notice the total lack of fan communities for Depression Quest and Rev60?

This is typical of people who grew up believing that success is something they're entitled to, not something they have to earn and be grateful for.

The chance of being successful at making apps or games is very slim. People like Frank, John, and Chelsea bought into insta-rich fantasies back when smartphone apps were still in their infancy, but by the time they finally released their crappy games, the market was saturated.

If someone buys into the "women are half of gamers" statistic, then how exactly is supposed misogyny holding back the games made by women (or people pretending to be women)? When people buy "Cooking Fever", no one cares one way or another that it's made by a firm run by a Lithuanian woman.

Hey, Wu. This is Gunpoint. It was made in Gamemaker by a complete novice developer. It has sold something like 3/4 of a million copies. Do you think you'll ever sell that many units of R60? You think that because you're using a for realz serious game engine, somehow that makes you better than these guys. In fact there are any number of highly successful games made with these "toys" that look better and play better than the trash you churned out.

Wu acting like a snob over using a free game engine when you have to pay money to use all the others (Unreal has licensing fees, but just using it for private use costs nothing by itself), why am I not shocked.

And here's the thing that gets me... they were IN A BANK which supposedly caused this problem. A problem that would be easily fixed by asking to speak to the branch manager, explaining that they were transgender, and provide ID to prove who they are. Instead, they run crying to twitter and try to make a perfectly understandable security measure look like harassment. There's absolutely zero reason for their account to be locked unless they simply threw a fit over someone asking them about a discrepancy in their identity information and left without trying to fix it like an adult.

Hell, I had to speak to a bank manager and provide additional ID one time because I shaved my beard off and no longer matched my driver's license closely. Maybe I should start a Patreon.
 
Undertale was made in GameMaker and is umpteen times the game Rev 60 is, which is a notion I think even the former's detractors would agree on. Dismissing these tools so quickly exposes how shallow Wu's knowledge is and is an easy way of trying to cover up that they don't have anything meaningful to say about them.

Also, I think it's funny that she dismisses Blender; is she implying that the tripe used in Rev 60 required something better than Blender (and Paint) to produce?

What was Undertale made on? You know that indie game that was crowdfunded, released on time, and went on to be massively successful?

You know, it's always bugged me. How does Wu reconcile the constant drumbeat of "50% of gamers are women" with the evidence of her own audience who are mostly men? I mean, look at her patreon. 90% men, maybe more.

So here we have a game:
  • By women
  • Notionally for women
  • Focus tested vigorously with women
  • Features all women characters
  • Sold on a platform women gamers are known to use
And the audience is still men. The doublethink required to ignore these facts boggles my mind.
 
I wonder how she even learned about game development in the first place, if she's so critical of free things. Did she go out and buy all the top of the line books on Unreal, spending more of Frank's money?

There may be all that pro-women stuff, but notice all the heroines are faultless hourglass models as well. Surprised the SJWs and feminists haven't jumped on that
