Wait.... that donation was from Cliff Bleszinski? WHEN THE FUCK DID WE FIND THAT OUT!? I know his brother was a founding member of Vox, but for some reason I didn't realize he was linked to this shit.

It wasn't his fault. At least not completely. Seriously. He got misled into supporting Wu under false pretenses and cut off his support after.

For the uninitiated: He was the guy who donated $10,000 when Wu announced her intent to go after Gamergate supporters who were sending death threats. He was completely unaware that the overpowering majority of the threats Wu and friends have had were entirely fabricated from whole cloth.

He's still a retard for believing the courts would take up a case based on such a silly premise.

He's still a exceptional individual for believing the courts would take up a case based on such a silly premise.

Preaching to the choir on that one, dear Ruin.

One of the many reasons I don't support income redistribution. If people are dumb enough to waste their money on silly things then society is under no obligation to do anything other than mock them.

Wu said:
I, personally, did not want to develop a combat engine for that reason.
Is she seriously trying to pass off the blame onto her ex-employees for this? Seriously?

Yep, Also he is implying that R60 was going to be a walking simulator

So a walking simulator with even more padding?

Christ, Wu, there's bad design and then there's intentionally making Tale of Tales look competent in contrast.

Gee, Wu, maybe you shouldn't make games based on the concept of fighting enemies then:

Yet more proof Rev. Shitty is a crappy visual novel pretending to be a game - namely in that the knock off low quality combat system as it already is stands as the only thing separating it as a "game" instead of a visual novel.

Which of course is precisely what Wu wanted for Holiday and friends from day one regardless.

I don't think he was the 10K donor.

Oh, here we go: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/brianna-wu-john-flynt.6034/page-667

It was someone named Lexi. I was wondering why that name didn't sound familiar at all.

I take more offense to the idea of Brianna being opposed to combat in games when it's obvious that she's a murderous little shit in every game where there is a choice.

Wu being Wu.

And more Micosoft shilling.

That explains why it's so tough to work on R60. 140 bytes of John's 200-byte bandwidth come right off the top for the Twitter feed.

Considering that it seems to be estamiated to take ~36.8 petaFLOPS (36800000000000000!) to accurately simulate a human brain in a computer[1][2] I feel confident in saying that twitters resident super-software-engineer is SHIT WRONG in assuming that the human brain can only handle a laughably low 200B/s information flow.

I don't think you can just convert FLOPS to bytes, but just the order of magniatude these two numbers are apart from each other should show how very idiotic that whole statement is.

Edit:
Simulating 1 second of human brain activity takes 82,944 processors

>While running, the simulation ate up about 1PB of system memory as each synapse was modeled individually.

Coming back to this again real fast:

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi appears to be a doctor in Psychology and not a neurscientist. He's a professor for Psychology and Management which I assume would be part of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology of the APA.

His primary interest appears to be in his developed theory of Flow which reads like it's in part about the state a human falls into when he is completely immersed in what they are doing. You know, like not keeping track of time anymore/time flying. That sort of thing.

I'm not sure if that makes him know a lot about the human brain as a computing device but I kind of doubt it.

The source is crap.

Really, any actual game developer should know better for one obvious reason: frames per second. Even a plain old 35mm film runs at 24fps, and anything slower than that is noticeably different. Divide 200 bytes by that and you've got about 8 bytes per frame - and that's not counting any other sensory input but vision.
