What started all this up? Did she actually try working on Rev60 today and realize (again) that it's a lost cause?

AFAIK, the usual PS1 texture is 128x128 with 32 colors.
 
The thing with Rev60 is, there's absolutely no reason at all for it to be rendered in real time. There's no free character movement, no meaningful camera movement that the player controls. You could happily make the game with entirely pre-rendered characters, and do the fight scenes with sprites on a pre-rendered background, since there's no shadowing or other real time lighting even in the version they produced.

The game would be smaller and run better on a wider range of devices without the framerate and audio sync issues it currently suffers. It'd even run on the PS1.

It's still an UE3 game, so i'm pretty sure someone will manage to at least replace models and textures in R60 (i've seen some UE-based games with locked modding features and people managed to do some basic modding on them), just modifying the character models to give them dongs would be enough to make Wu go nuclear.

If i knew how to 3D model i would try to replace the main cast with Jace and company.
