I pretty much had to stop myself about three minutes in because she flat out ignores the presenter from the get-go when he creates an anecdote about an Atari and John immediately leaps into his usual diatribe about the NES and Super Mario Bros. 2, which is prefaced by him saying "it's interesting that you brought up the NES"...which he didn't.

EDIT: This may seem like a triviality overall but this is supposed to be a conference about gaming, is it not? So you might want to get the name of the console right.
 

Notice how John uses a critical, non-threatening tweet from Totalbiscuit yesterday in his opening montage about "death and rape threats". He also features a "chatterwhiteman" tweet (i.e., one he and Frank wrote themselves as a hoax). None of the three tweets in that Vine are threats in any manner. And his ludicrous "death threat" count is up to 180.

It also helps illuminate the insincerity of John's "concern" for Totalbiscuit yesterday. John had just wrongly accused the guy of death and rape threats in front of an audience, but behind Totalbiscuit's back. And while John was accusing the guy of being a monster (10:30-11:30 am Central time), without evidence, the poor man is tweeting to the world at 11:08 am Central time that he has terminal cancer.

Class act, John.

People should be disgusted by his dishonest, self-serving demagoguery, not searching for ways to make excuses for John, vainly hoping he's humane. He isn't. He's an awful person.

Tweet was after. I might have thought it was sincere if she hadn't made it so public. If she had said to TB that "differences aside, no one deserves to surfer through cancer, let alone die from it" in private it would have possibly been sincere. No. This is all PR for Wu.

Not surprised at ALL. It would serve John right if caps of his earlier tweets juxtaposed with his latest one went circulating through his Twitter feed so everyone else can see how much of a hypocrite he is.

Probably wouldn't change the minds of his asspatters, but anything that embarrasses him would prevent him from getting more asspatters.

He's regrouping.

He's starting to slide into irrelevance to the point, as was stated above, most of GG doesn't give a shit, and Wu fears that the most, since Wu made his "career" agitating that. Hence all this outrage shit.

Wu, despite all this shit he says, he wants enemies. It gives him an easy way to play the professional victim card, and the fact he's trying so hard right now should be cause to laugh, not get infuriated.

he is preparing himself to the worst

he only has TWO weeks to finish R60 for steam and instead what he is doing? sperging in "keynotes"

Yeah, might have been overly optimistic on him regrouping, but then again, Wu may be stupid enough to think he can start a new career as a paid speaker once R60 bombs.

We've seen this dumbass swallow even more ridiculous koolaid, so hell, why not?

Note that Kapalka *stopped* giving Wu $200 a month a few weeks ago. Maybe he figured she was no longer worth it. That's not at that link, but it was something I found earlier.

(I didn't know his history with the other recipients. I just noticed that the PopCap co-founder had quit Wu's Patreon.)
