Also, the whole laptop processor core thing makes me facepalm.
Modeling programs are murder on a processor since modeling is dumped completely onto the processor(s) to do (textures are dumped onto the GPU, unless it's a motherboard integrated unit, in which case the processor is doing some of the work, and it would run like ass no matter what in that case), and 3D modeling requires a metric shitton of calculations by the processor run in realtime, and anyone with the slightest ounce of technical sense would do this shit on a desktop since it's much harder to overheat a desktop.
Desktops have a higher profile, exhaust holes, and better fans, so even a weak desktop processor would do better than those laptop processors simply because it can stave off burnout much better.
