She was probably at the office. And of course she burned all those tweets but the first. I can't help but wonder what people that interact with her regularly or follow her think about all the deleting. Surely people notice that she deletes half the things she tweets day in day out.

What office? GSK is based out of the Wu residence, isn't it? Sure, Wu is traveling but trying to do rendering high-load graphics on-the-fly seems like a completely idiotic thing to do because of time constraints as well as the heating issue.

Her office is in her living room. I did some looking and there are several options available to her if she wants to use maya on her laptop and do the number crunching at home. It'd be worth her time to figure it out since she's going to save her laptop, save her battery, be able to turn the thing off without stopping her rendering jobs, the jobs will process much faster, and she can go do other things without dealing with a super choked laptop slowing down her tweets.

It looks like she could even do this shit on amazon aws most days it would cost her like $0.60 to run 36 cores at 3ghz for an hour. That means that for under 2 dollars she could do more processing in a few hours than her laptop is capable of doing all day.

But that's kind of exactly why we're confused - she's got a better system for rendering shit right there, yet she chooses to use hardware both out of date and inefficient for the job she wants it to do and she's apparently done this three times so far.

Also depending on applecare is foolish, if you google you'll see that while apple's service leans to the yes side there are plenty of people who are told no or don't get their shit fixed so wait and see what happens when you send in a laptop and the apple guy decides that your warranty is void because the thing has sucked in too much soylent and dog hair.
