Since graphics aren't always everything, there are atari 2600 games that are more fun.

So this is great. From KiA:

Don't know if it has been posted already, but it totally shows there is definitly a circle of Wikipedia admins pushing all the way they can to serve the anti-gamergate narrative. Was simply looking for Brianna Wu latest tweets tonight and discovered with horror she has a Wikipedia entry because HISTORY certainly must know about how much she did for... her Patreon ?

TL;DR: Brianna Wu's Wikipedia article was created by a Wikipedia Admin that's a personal friend of hers, who then used his position to prevent it from being deleted over reasons of relevance.

I will forever be left speechless by the fact that Wu somehow manages to forge relationships that can be construed as "friendship" to some degree.

Also interesting to see Elonka Dunin popping up in the Wu article's history. I recall her being a major Wikipedia drama magnet (sort of a proto-Ryulong but more of a wiki-bureaucracy specialist) a while back.

Here's a question. Can she sue over porn of her characters? Specifically if they use ripped models from the game? Wasnt there a Family Guy/Simpsons porn lawsuit recently? I know most companies wouldnt consider suing over porn but Wu does have money to burn and she would do anything to protect her baby.

I think Wu can be somewhat imposing when you first meet her which can sometimes result in useful acquaintances. Not just because she looks like Big Bird going through chemo but because she speaks with certainty. People buy it because it sounds like she buys it. That's a conman's greatest tool. Speak with conviction and people will just assume you know what you're talking about... to a certain point. So when Wu says that she fled her home in fear because of a tweet while talking from her home, you kind of believe it because she's eye fucking the back of your skull and you're afraid she'll unhinge her jaw.

Yes but that was low quality deviantart porn and this would be using her own work she put effort into. My point was she has money to burn and because she has more money she could bury someone in legal fees. Keep in mind this is someone who told off Derek Smart when he said a lawsuit wouldnt work and spent $400K on a her "baby." She could easily try to spend that kind of money defending it.

Yes.

The question isn't whether she can sue but whether she'd win. People who actually just directly hork the assets and don't do anything to transform them into something with parodic intent could end up in trouble.

It's really beyond a brief post to explain what that is, but something "minimally transformative" generally is not enough to qualify as fair use under the parody rule, so making a parody, whether pornographic or not, should actually comment on and transform the work it is a derivative of.

In other words, the salient feature of such a parody could, in fact, be that it criticizes the original as grossly and offensively as possible.

The 2 Live Crew case, Campbell v. Acuff-Rose, is an example of such a parody.

Basically, simply ripping the models without any intent to do anything with them could get someone in deep trouble, but creating a pornographic parody of them, either using the original models (after significant transformation for parody reasons) or parodying them via another medium that clearly references the original (like that R34 pic gallery linked to earlier) is kosher?
