GSXoffice is a strawman and nothing more. R60 is essentially done, all Wu has been doing is fucking around with some models and textures and switching out one combat interface with another (probably something done with premade community resources Wu jury rigged to do the same job as the old system for his commercial product). None of that requires more than one person to do, and Wu has given us a pretty clear picture of his daily life, which mostly involves fucking around 99% of the time, and the only reason Wu is releasing this shit is because time for fucking around has come to an end and he knows he needs to shove it out the door since he can't even draw flies to a pity party anymore.

I'm willing to bet if R60 tanks as hard as I expect, Natalie will vanish, GSXoffice will vanish, and Wu's game dev career will be little more than something Wu uses on the paid speaker circuit for pity and credential whoring, as the game making part will be over.

I think Wu once heard the advice "Don't answer the question you were asked. Answer the question you wished you'd been asked." and then ran with the idea. Unfortunately, the only questions Brianna wants to be asked are "Why are you so brave and why is GamerGate so evil?" and "Can you talk more about your harassment?"

As to why she's still invited to places... she still has something of a hate mob at her beck and call, even if they're starting to lose interest. The people putting on these talks are still labouring under the illusion that pandering to a mad tranny will result in higher attendance rates and SJW cred, but obviously this is false. Also, Brianna seems very good at forcing her way into things. She might not have anything to say or only be barely involved but somehow she sticks her nose into things and forces people to listen to her. Just like GamerGate. Anita and Zoe were the real heavyweights and Brianna just kind of elbowed her way in and started shrieking "me too, me too!!"

Notice that's a 2007 article in Time, when print was still relevant and yet the internet was not mysterious. It's hard to say how many people knew that article was stupid before it went to print. From the IT staff to the print room, numerous people must have known better than to publish something like that, even a quick google search at the time would have explained the man's fraud.

Yet it was still printed and the guy still seems to get speaking engagements. Also we've had a recent rash of SJW exposures. For each one that was finally outed, there are probably a handful who weren't as blatant and didn't have as many political enemies.

As long there is people that feels that 'they are changing the world' by doing slacktivism to promote her. Why does Brianna Wu needs a thread in NeoGaf saying that 'no innovation here'? Why does a reporter needs to namedrop her in "best women in tech"? Why people try to pass the Samus is Trans garbage as an actual valid point and just not a desperate click bait? She doesn't have the influence that had when GG started but sure as hell she is fighting to at least stay somehow revelant in her circle.

I think at this point that's not really important to wu, right now if she can just list off enough engagements that people have to scroll up and down she will just keep slanting her relevance to whatever the quasi-feminist SJW topic of the moment happens to be, she has from now until whenever frank might divorce her for ruining his life to make this dealie pan out, if it doesn't then she will just extract her crowning achievements and use them as bullet points for whatever her next incarnation may be. Like she talks about the cartoon studio even though it's embarrassing if you know the details. All that's important is she was in charge then and is in charge now, so obviously she's competent and you should give her money for her next project.
