what's the badass quotient for a skinny-fat dude in a miniskirt?
Hi, I'm a professional Game Developer. I'm taking selfies like a 13 year old girl. This is the shirt I "ran 10 miles in", the only boots I own, my hair is stick-combed as per usual, and my face is 95% obstructed which is an unfathomably large improvement.

Still, all normal men run away from me screaming.

If wu's parents just let her wear dresses and get made fun of by other little shits none of this would have happened.

I find it amazing we know everything about Wu's life...only from the earliest college days on. We know absolutely nothing about Flynt's pre-college life other than he must have been Richie fucking Rich in childhood.

Nah if you look at Election Eve I believe Crimson is Wu's actual self insert. Holiday isn't actually a likeable character design at all, it's obvious Crimson is supposed to be the one you think is cool.

There are a few facets of her in Holiday like the biking, but I think that was just a weak attempt to make Holiday into a more interesting character by giving her some interesting attributers… of course the only thing Wu finds interesting is herself.

No, Holiday is Wu's self-insert. Main character/voicebox from SOCCON and hasn't changed a bit in over a decade in any way. Plus, Holiday is the hero that people totally are throwing themselves in front of to prevent dying in R60. And is all about the motorcycle despite the game itself pointing out she's fucking useless in that specialty in her own job. It's totally Wu.

So "badass" that she's already forgotten all about that two inch puncture wound on her foot.
Amphetamine abuse fries short-term memory.

Note the lack of blood on the floor and lack of bandage on his foot. But, yeah, he had a pair of tweezers go straight through his foot an hour ago. That lack of logic is right up there with his claim in the talk today about getting letters from 8-year-old girls then somehow looking them straight in the eyes.

I just got off the road today and I don't have the patience or attention span to listen to Wu, but I assume her VR software is going to be part of her long list of other things she says she's going to do like build Revolution 60 for Android, or make a sequel to Revolution 60 with an actually diverse cast of characters instead of her brand of bondage Sailor Moon ripoffs that were born under power lines, or y'know, actually doing anything to help women in tech.

I've noticed in almost all of the pics I've seen of Wu, she always is wearing either some nasty unwashed t-shirt an jeans that have been yanked out of a lawnmower, some kind of miniskirt/ cocktail dress thing, or this "I ride motorcycles" biker chick ensemble. In any case, she dresses herself up like what a teenage boy might think a woman would probably look "sexy" in. I honestly believe this is all part of Brianna's fantasy and has no real concept of how to look professional.
Wu could try to do what good creators do, like, maybe, possibly, MOVE ON AND MAKE BETTER GAMES. Unless you've made Minecraft, you won't go far with a single idea.

Humble as always, Wu. So humble you forgot to use the selfie function.

Doing weird shit is barely notable in highschool also dorm life probably let wu do all the things that couldn't happen under mom and dad's roof. We would know very little about her college life if it wasn't for that single thread on college weirdos out on the internet. From there we knew where to get more of her history.

For the record I happen to believe she did step on her tweezers and run 10 miles. This is why you don't lie because everyone will start thinking you're lying whenever you have anything remotely interesting to say.

Is that a pack of marlboro 72s on the bed? Is wu a smoker?

@zedkissed60 you read my mind... No blood, foot appears fine.

1. The foot tweet might be an excuse not to attend the rest of the conference. She has commented she will go to a doctor in the morning. This reads as "I'm going to party tonight and plan to sleep in tomorrow."

2. Between the boots and jacket it's no wonder TSA harasses her. Unfortunately for Wu it's not because they are biased jerks, but rather people annoyed she is making their job more of a pain in the ass than normal.

While true, I also believe there might be an inkling of what exactly made Flynt into Wu from those HS days, since that story begins at the exact same time Flynt started college. Granted, it may be impossible seeing as how we're going back to the days pre-dating Wikipedia in that query, as Microsoft/Windows 2000 wouldn't be around until the middle-late portion of Flynt's college career and so whatever high school Flynt went to may not have put the archives online for free access by anybody.

Would not surprise me in the least. Given the drug incident in between college stints, and the near fetishistic attachment to Twitter in general, Flynt seems especially prone to rapidly developing addiction.

She has very little to gain by going back there, she only went to talk about going on twitter and now she's probably getting ignored, even if you take her at face value there are much more important people to talk to. Going back is just a chance for her to put her foot in her mouth in front of people who can't help her.

I honestly would not bother trying to go to the doctor in her situation any quick clinic in san francisco is going to be like a freaking 3 hour wait, I really don't see that happening

I believe she may have stepped on tweezers but as been noted there is no blood in the hotel room anywhere, no tweezers, no wads of toilet paper, it doesn't look like there was a bunch of grooming going on there either. Also she's wearing her boots. I would probably wear sandals if I could or at least those running shoes she went 10 miles in. Nothing leather for sure. She sure does look like she's about to go out and party.

I doubt wu is wearing something smart like pajamas or workout clothes almost any outfit that would be good for a plane would leave her looking like a man. Unless she went full yoga outfit :cryblood:

And now, I'm going to sperg a bit about something a few pages back.

"Empathy is missing from the game industry". Video games don't tell stories well nowadays because they lack empathy, but VR will improve that.

Wu, you god-damned idiot. Video games *have* empathy.

Back when you played Actraiser on the SNES, during the God-Sim, when some petitioners come to your temple and beg you to send the rain, because a dying man wants to feel it on his face before he goes, how did that make you feel?

When you played Final Fantasy IV, at the edge of being wiped out, when Rydia comes back to save your ass, how did that make you feel?

When you played Ico, after the whole game of you pulling up Yorda by the hand, when you miss a long jump, she catches you. And then she's taken away. How did that make you feel?

When you played Silent Hill 2, and you watched Angela begin the long walk up the firery stairway, and neither you - the player, or James Sunderland - the character, can do anything to save someone that really wants to die. When the thought occurred to you that life wasn't fair and that some people never even had a chance, how did that make you feel?

When you played Portal, and the game manipulated you into first protecting, and then destroying, a box with a heart on the side, how did that make you feel?

When you played Dark Souls and realized that the big bad wasn't the final boss, but entropy, that the whole world is irreparably fucked, how did that make you feel?

These are all moot, of course. You probably didn't play these games. But "VR" will bring empathy and help games tell better stories. The Microsoft Kinect can't cope with a slight accent and you're going to invent something that can recognize tone and inflection.

I'm going to burn through my entire allotment of sighs way too early in the week.

She said a few sentences about how she is developing Unreal to pick up emotions in VR.
Did she even explain how? Because I would fucking love to know how she's going to make a program that can read emotions. Even Data from Star Trek couldn't do that.

Also, John Marston being denied his happy family life, Niko Bellic realising The American Dream isn't all it's cracked up to be, and realising you were just a pawn in Crackdown and Bioshock .

Seeing that Snake and Otacon have become good enough friends to have a manly hug...

All the varied feels of video games, utterly lost on someone who has sunk 3000 hours into Peggle.
