They just asked her if she was in fact brianna wu, since she was not asian and appears to be a man in disguise.
So it looks like they're flying to Minnesota, so this means they're in fact not on the road all month, in three weeks they're traveling probably 4 days. I wouldn't really blow most people up like this, but with wu everything is an exaggeration.

Also a great thing to carry through airports is a fucking hot water heater and 150 instant coffees.. I'm sure that will pay off in spades.

Would it surprise anyone if Brianna got a photoshopped image in her passport somehow, to look more like her Twitter avatars, rather than a legit image she never uses?

Also, I love John complaining about a Kickstarter campaign that fails to deliver. How's that Mac and PC port coming, John? It was due over a year ago. Any of your backers angry that you stole their money?

My favorite of John's plane stories is the one where the middle aged man next to him spilled his cola onto John's Macbook and John angrily demanded, "Do you know who I am?" and the guy shrugged in response but was probably thinking, "Oh boy, this is just going to be one of those flights". I think there's a good chance that story actually happened.

Oh, man, that one's a classic. If I recall correctly she also followed up with "My name is Brianna Wu," like he'd suddenly realize his mistake once he recognized her name.

Brianna honestly seems to think that she's famous, even though nobody outside of very specific gaming circles has ever heard of her. Hell, even Anita Sarkeesian, arguably the most famous oppressed gamer girl, hasn't had any mainstream success. Why the fuck would some random middle-aged guy on a plane know who Brianna is?

I remember that, very early into GamerGate, Zoe, Anita, and Brianna actually had a Twitter slapfight (or more like a passive-aggressive and thinly-veiled series of tweets) about who was the most oppressed and victimized. I got a kick out of imagining the whole scenario as the start of the Trojan War, except instead of the Golden Apple of Discord saying "to the fairest" it said "to the most oppressed."

This reminds me of an article I read somewhere about where they tried to staff an office entirely with women. They thought removing toxic masculinity(tm) would create a much more female-friendly environment. It ended up having so much petty office politics and backstabbing that the whole thing collapsed in on itself.

You can either get to the top by acquiring actual talent, or by playing dirty and tearing others down. Literally whos are the ones who have backstabbed and gamed the system to the very top, like some sort of professional victim natural selection. They're less interested in making things better for everyone (or even just women) as a whole, and more in their own personal position relative to everyone else. Out of all of them, Anita's the only one that pretends even in the slightest that this isn't the case.
 
I think Anita's only mainstream exposure was that one appearance on the Colbert Report and the Law & Order SVU episode that Wu is always trying to steal some fame from. I can imagine Wu introducing himself to the people next to him on the plane with, "Did you see that one Law & Order SVU episode about the woman game developer with hoop ear rings and a lumberjack shirt getting death threats from the internet? Well, that's basically my life story. Did I mention I have a Patreon?"

I honestly get the impression that Brianna and Zoe resent Anita for all the attention she's gotten, which they feel is rightfully theirs. After all, the public can only stomach so many professional victims, so there can be only one. Anita seems to be the go-to oppressed gamer gurl, which really burns Brianna and Zoe's cookies. After Anita, Zoe seems to get the most attention due to her connection with GamerGate, leaving Brianna in last place. And that's the way it should be; at least Zoe actually was involved in GamerGate. Brianna literally just showed up out of nowhere claiming that she was a horribly oppressed victim of the patriarchy and acting like she was a hero for it even though she was (and still is) a complete nobody.

Again, it cracks me up to see these three passive-aggressively ignore one another. Instead of forging friendships with each other and working together, they all just whine about what victims they are. They literally can't shut the fuck up about themselves for five minutes, which makes it awfully hard to make any friends.

I sometimes forget that we're now posting all of her tweets and not just the highlights. She says something dumb at least once a day but this one is especially dumb since people get emotional on their money sometimes. I can't imagine what would happen if someone was already peeved about her non-delivery and they saw that. *blocked*

Yeah it sounds pretty believable. Someone not caring about wu, sitting in first class well aware that all he needs to do is stay calm and let wu chimp out if she wants. Freaking out on a plane at all is a great way to get in big fucking trouble and I'm sure your typical 1st class passenger knows it and knows they're nobody special. Wu's ego on the other hand is spinning overtime and she's have megalomaniacal fantasies because of getting another 6 inches of room and free drinks "Evil! Power! World Domination!" and the guy does his best not to react at all.

It's good to see that all the white people agree.
If they really had black friends they'd know that frequently you don't agree on things often right down racial lines. Also just cause a member of a minority group calls you a name doesn't mean shit, if that's all it takes to control you then essentially you're afraid of them. If you're afraid of them you're probably racist too.
