Given John threw the original designs for his character under the bus and gave them armor due to SJW complaints, I don't put it past him to retcon that if he feels the need to kiss ass enough.

Except you can't even really say he changed the models - he stuck a minimal amount of extra armor on them but it does not in any way begin to change the fact they have impossibly thin waists and horrible textures.

But that's not part of the problem. The problem is that this whole time, R60 was being pushed as having strong, female characters. If Wu suddenly changed that now, everything about Holiday being a strong female lead in video games gets undermined, causing the idiotic narrative to come crashing down even more.

"The way it was meant to be played"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we just find out that Apple TV would have games? How was it meant to be played with Apple TV if she didn't know it existed for 100% of the original iOS development time, and like 80% of the PC development time (Assuming the game actually comes out in October.)

Because R60 isn't meant to be played as a game - it's an interactive movie

Think about it - the last time Flynt started a company, it was to produce his beloved SOCCON as some kind of digital animation, but it flopped horribly. Second time around with Giant Spacekat, with more money somehow, R60 was produced under the pretense of being a game (rather sloppily since most of the more advanced aspects have been proven to not make any important differences in most cases) simply to get schmucks to download it.

It would probably make Wu very, very happy to actually just strip out the game aspect entirely and make R60 the animation that SOCCON never could be - where everybody irrationally hates Minnie just for existing without reason and the "player" isn't even given a choice in what direction the story goes.

I don't doubt any of that, but even if that's her goal, there's no way she could have designed any of it with Apple TV in mind.

Not AppleTV precisely, but as already established that technology itself already exists. Wu could be talking about how his lifelong dream of making Holiday the star of her own movie and universe on large screen in some form being "the way it was meant to be played" and not necessarily ATV.

Or they could be lying out of their ass as per usual for the reasons you state. Either way, it's clear Wu just wants R60 on the big screen now just like how a decade ago they tried to do it with an actual animation and failed miserably at it.

I'm not too clear on this, but I think Wu could if he wanted to, that'd just mean more work for him. And we all know, shitposting on Twitter is tiring enough as it is for John.

On a technical level, no, here's some more tech sperging.

Apple TV can only load 200MB of data at once, with more cloud based, which is deleted every so often as newer data replaces old. R60 on iOS is somewhat over 500MB, and given Wu is using the Unreal Engine, most of that 200MB is going to spent loading up everything you need to run the game at all. Also, given it's a platform with higher resolution, Wu WILL need to upscale the game somewhat unless he wants it to look even shittier than it does on iOS, so the size will likely increase 0.5-1.2x it's present filesize due to the upscaled models and textures.

Even assuming the game is all loading via the cloud based servers, considering it frequently deletes data not currently in use to keep things freed up, that means the load times will be horrible, and since you'd have to re-download the game every play session, it would murder the bandwidth of the average player depending on their internet connection.

Worse, Wu would have to redo the control interface to compensate for the Apple TV's controls, which are frankly more limited than PC or iOS.

In short, Wu bit off more than he can chew, is pissed, and wants AppleTV to make his life easier should he make the attempt.

Can someone knowledgeable in Wulogy tell me why does he has such a huge boner for Apple? Like, even the game he's developing must be on Apple products?

Like most latte sipping hipsters, Wu is an Applefag because they market to Wu's demographic of idiots who want to look trendy and tech savvy.

No need for any Wulogy. She's a rich hipster who thinks she's creative. Rich hipsters who think they're creative use Apple Products and gush over everything they put out.

Actually most Apple users hate the fanboys as much as everyone else does.

Ah, I see. So it's an image/brand loyalty thing. I never used an Apple product before (and most likely never will) so I don't get what's the big deal with it and why Wu shills it so much. Thanks

Wu is an idiot and any time anyone tries to point out how Wu is wrong, we get screeches of MANSPLAINING MANSPLAINING.

Nobody in their right mind gives a flying fuck about Apple TV.

If Wu really gave a shit about the real-life challenges that "people of colour" suffer in the tech-world, she would boycott Apple for subcontracting all of its manufacturing to Foxconn, a notorious Taiwanese-owned and Chinese-based sweatshop megacorp where working conditions and labor contracts are so bad that they had a spate of employee suicides a couple years ago in addition to a string of fatal industrial accidents. Foxconn literally had to install anti-suicide nets on all its employee dormitories because so many workers were killing themselves. Until an unacceptable number of people died, Apple didn't do anything to incentivize its subcontractor to improve conditions.

But no, it's far more important to whine about how Apple doesn't hire enough minorities in its US-based R&D and instead talk about the lack of Asian-American representation in comic books bruising Frank's self-esteem.

If I recall correctly, Foxconn "improved conditions" by installing nets to catch the people jumping out the windows all the time.

Oh. . .I do recall correctly.

None of those people have Patreon accounts so they don't matter.

@Smutley brought this up earlier, but Rev60 is ridiculously inefficiently programmed. It's over 700MB, and lags like a motherfucker. Several games bigger than it content wise, with far better graphics, are one third that size. We're going to see this brought to trueism when it hits Steam, but Wu's incompetence at programming's going to be on full display when people are actually able to examine the code.

I don't know anything about Steam, but you can do that?

She'll never bring it to Steam. Wu's an idiot but she's smart enough to know that the second people get their hands on the source code the internet will be flooded with nude mods and sarcastic porn parodies.

The Steam release will be the absolute last ditch effort by Wu to remain relevant. I can see her playing the "I'm trans" card long before we ever get the PC version, so we're looking at years down the line.

Assuming the embarrassment of being a known pedophile white knight doesn't force Wu to release the damn thing before what little relevance Wu has is too tarnished first.

Keep associating with Wu, asshole.

Generally no, but games that are put together like total shit probably have things like uncompressed source code all over the place, and unprotected textures that you could edit in Paint if you wanted to. Revolution 60 is so large that it's almost too big for a basic CD-R, but it looks about on par with something from the Dreamcast era.
