When I read that all I hear is:

Sorry hard to disconnect the fetishistic angle from a clear autogynephiliac, seen as Wu was a frequent Fictionmania poster and that's all Fictionmania is about really. She just had the finances to make herself into the OCDONUTSTEAL she fapped about.

And seriously? Isn't it funny that despite several articles criticizing destiny for being a addictive game with no content,every major news outlet has weekly destiny news?,also every day we have a new metal gear article.
Believing that they are good guys and are not being paid off is ignorant and naïve.
 
Someone wanna tell me why Wu is trying to assert that game journalism wasn't at all corrupt and that the entire GamerGate thing was overblown when most of aGG aren't even gamers to begin with?

Brianna Wu owes everything she is to nepotism and corruption so of course she's downplaying it.

You've seen her resume writing skills. You've seen her "software engineering" skills. She would be up shit creek if people took a moment to remove her parasitic ass from their respective circles and industries. Unfortunately, she likely has dirt on a lot of these people and they know she would air it all if they did get rid of her.

To be fair, the Destiny Community picking up the slack is why that game didn't fucking die.

Just a bit of confusion on my part: How does this "FemSnake" BS change the story? I tried the same thing, no story changes, you are still referred to as "Boss" (the game treats all characters besides Big Boss as him, male or female), and none of the actual plot related stuff is changed by switching out to another playable avatar.

If this were MaleShep/FemShep level changes, I'd buy this, but Wu is reaching hard otherwise.

Robert Heinlein's Friday as a trans allegory? Bitch please. Heinlein was at the phase of his career where he was old enough and rich enough and accomplished enough to write whatever he damn well wanted to. If he wanted to write about trans people, he would have done it, and there'd be no mistaking it. Instead we got Friday and Heinlein's incest-with-redheaded-women fetish (not in the same book, though). I cannot believe for one second that a guy who advocated nudism before the sexual revolution--which he helped start--would shy away from writing frankly and openly about trans issues if that was something he cared about.

Wu's not wrong that the ability to play as other soldiers in Peace walker/MGSV is awesome. I have a black dude with similar facial hair to Big Boss. I call him Nigger Snake and he's currently killing every white guy in Africa.

MGS spoilers

Wu's being an idiot over Female Snake but she's right in a way. There are multiple people who have taken up the titles The Boss/Big Boss. There's The Boss, Big Boss, (Snake) Solid Snake, Venom Snake, and arguably Raiden It's heavily implied throughout the series that Big Boss is less of an individual person and more of an idea. An especially skilled/principled soldier who goes above and beyond the call of duty
