The only way that she didn't personally do it is by her not being the first to talk about it. If she were in the right position to have broken the news about his comments she surely would have jumped at the chance.
What she and her ilk do is worse than any single incident. It creates the environment where people compete for asspats by shaming people for the smallest transgression. By jumping on the shame bandwagon, she has assured that in a month or two there will be a new Sir Tim or ShirtGate or whatever and whoever is being shamed then probably won't be lucky enough to have a recording surface to exonerate them later.

It must have been the Quarians. I just love how mad he makes these people by refusing to call them names and give them ammo. Also I don't think it's extortion when you have nothing to gain.
One of them said that there shouldn't be a need to refute the claims that Wu is trans. Isn't that saying it offensive because she is trans or are they saying its okay to let people think you are trans even if your not. It sounds kind of offensive to me to let people think your trans as long as it can benefit you.

There wouldn't be if that was all there was to it. However, Wu has made a career out of being a woman in tech like she's some huge pioneer. Now, the fact she hasn't done sweet fuck-all is relevant to that, but so is the fact that being a woman is a novel thing for Wu.
Wu doesn't know what it's like to grow up as a woman.
Wu doesn't know what it's like to be educated as a woman.
Wu doesn't know what it's like not to be privileged and wealthy.
But Wu wants all the credit anyone who dealt with it their whole lives would have.
Wu would actually have some credibility on the issue of what it's like to grow up and work in tech as a transperson, but that's not what Wu's laying claim to.
There's nothing wrong with being anything, but claiming a privileged position in the public dialogue based on a special status and shoving actual women out of the way to hog the limelight has plenty wrong with it. It's, shall we say, problematic.

It's already hard to fight doubt when you're making claims of massive conspiracies and shit. It may also be part of her former life and thus unmentioned. I think the only reason

even gets mentioned is because she's convinced that the experience gives her cred. Maybe it does with certain
people. Letting people know she's part of the population who have parents who can put them in charge of shit.
As far as Wu's gender identity being public knowledge: She already said that only trans people should comment on trans issues. A completely fucked up stance and one you can only have if you're trans unless you're also a massive hypocrite who knows what's best for other people.

Not to mention the fact bri could just as easily install google voice &or a call blocking app &/or other various telephony solutions, I'm certain that a software engineer being harassed from one side of the internet to the other would find this, she could even roll her own so that every one of her close friends has a different personal phone number they can call her at, and then she can additionally lock them all down by pin, time of day, caller id, automatic recording of all calls, all for free or
almost free if she is indeed a software engineer.
But whatever, nah just change the SIM card on your phone
and pay to keep all these cards activated and make it so nobody knows how to call you.
If she hasn't gotten a threat in almost a month it's not like people are just blasting her with waves of randomly generated caller IDs. Since she talked about jace and tyce both before and well after.... their special time, we can assume if she was getting blasted until her phone was useless we'd be hearing about it.
As you've noted she probably has a stack of old SIM cards laying around and she wants to start the narrative that she just keeps a pile of them in her wallet for the numerous times
of the week when her phone is rendered absolutely useless by waves of relentless harassers. She can pull them out when she's giving people her business card and later they
can see her talking about it online.
