Funny thing really. Apparently there's "pay2win" LARPs where you can buy additional hitpoints, upgrade your weapons and skills... Now, if only there was a public leaderboard, Johnny Boy might actually get tempted into joining the ultimate spergery.

John won't play Virtual Boy because it's misogynistic. Where is the Virtual Girl, Nintendo?
Don't worry, bro. Illusion Softworks, makers of fine titles such as Rapelay and Battle Raper, got you covered.

It's also exactly what Wu would enjoy.
I doubt any all-female LARP circle would accept Wu.
Especially since it would stop being an "all-female" LARP circle...
I imagine being a real woman around Brianna would be exhausting and aggravating. She would constantly try to hang around you because she craves acceptance from women but she would also need to tell you about all the ways she is a better woman than you.
This, so much this. For one thing I wouldn't be surprised if Johnny Boy got a bit too touchy-feely with his "sistahs" under some stupid "kinship of the soul" pretense. For the other, I bet you anything he'd try going "Damn PMS again! The things we girls go through, huh?" bullshit, where he's trying to out-woman every girl around him in some moronic way.
Of course though it costs you about $3K in hardware to play the damn thing if you're starting from nothing so it MUST be good RIGHT? RIGHT?
Post purchase rationalisation, thy name be John.

Googled the game expecting something interesting only to find its that dull as dishwater dungeon crawler from all the "VR games are not very good yet" compilation videos, not sure crawler is even the right term when you don't even move you just teleport down corridors awkwardly.

John Flynt is the kind of person who if he bought a CD-i on launch day would be in school the next day boasting how it's the most immersive and amazing technological experience ever and Nintendo/Sega/Sony can't compete. I mean it must be good right? It's CD-ROM and cost $700!

Meh, it's an enjoyable little game, but it's not much more than a tech demo at this point (most of the VR games fall into this category right now, tbh). The 0.8 hours she played it for was probably enough time to completely finish what's been released. I may be wrong, but I believe that was one of the games that came bundled with the Vive. It actually is very immersive, but no more so than any other VR game I've gotten. I think it's more a result of the new experience due to the hardware than the games themselves at the moment.

I swear though, I would honestly believe that Wu never used either of the headsets, and is just making tweets based off of reviews. She hasn't said anything original about either the hardware or any of the games, or anything particularly insightful either.

Concerning VR:
I guess we're currently in the weird in-between phase where we have the hardware but still wait for the softare and noone really knows what exactly the future of VR is going to be like (until someone just stumbles upon a solution that'll become the new standard).
So, basically, the wooden age of videogaming (like the days of the Colleco-Vision) all over again. Though I do look forward when I can eventually afford both a VR headset and a rig to run it. Jesus. Playing some 4X game with a movement-tracking HMD must be fucking awesome.

Concerning Wu:
Strange, isn't it? After all, the mighty Wu has degrees both in engineering and journalism, so why is it that he can neither give us an in-depth analysis from an experts POV nor an interestingly written report? :story:

Well for once John has picked a topic which he is an expert on: being an unemployed tranny

Cosmetic surgery that doesn't help someone recover from an illness or prevent an illness usually isn't covered. Duh!!!

That's it? Heck we were billed 90 grand just to have my Fiancee's Gallbladder taken out. It costs us 6000 each time she walked into the ER while dealing with a medical issue about 2 years ago just for them to give her a muscle relaxer which didn't fix the problem. When they finally did fix the issue with a spinal Tap after 7 visits our total bill was 154 thousand, for the 7 visits, plus the seperate Bills from each DR, and all additional costs.

:story::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: John talking about horrifying monsters under beds :lol::lol::lol::lol::story:

It's a known fact that american hospitals are fucking expensive, but SRS is purely cosmetic and doesn't deal with injury, so it isn't the White Cisheteronormative patriarchy keeping John's "transgender friend" from getting insured.

I'm just a simple man who has never experienced VR, but from Wu's description it sounds like he's just playing a first person rpg. So what's the reason for the constant rambling?

Because it's something expensive he can buy with Frank's money that most people don't have yet. So he can jerk himself off at how rich he is while the suckers of his severed penis bow and scrape and pay homage by giving him Patreon tard bucks.

What kind of evil shithead keeps indoor dogs in cages like that?

Maybe if John could spend less time rambling on twitter and more working on his game, he could get enough money to help his friends get their surgeries.

For what most insurance consider to be an elective surgery, that's dirt cheap.
The fact that it was mostly covered is even more surprising.
The fact that it was only ~30k total is a little on the high side for your basic SRS, but not surprising. Just shit work.

They actually have a long history, primarily revolving around Chloe trying to suck up to Brianna in the wake of GamerGate. Brianna pretty quickly figured out that Chloe was toxic and/or insane, so in order to protect her reputation, Brianna essentially rejected her.

Chloe, despite her insanity, is correct about Bri's ruthless politicking.

'Edit: Actually, here are some of the chat logs.

So, one crazy person rejected another crazy person, then?

I'm calling it now, that's Wu's own transitioning bill.
I think you're right.
It also could be a totally unrelated medical bill used in a lie to show how expensive it is for GRS. And since it's SF trans pride weekend, and most of the victim for hire cronies are in that area this could be a "hey I'm relevant!" message to call attention on himself yet again, Since he basically forces himself into any single situation that has any relevance.
