John finally installed his BIOS! Although he didn't credit KF for helping him build the PC.

Total time taken to build PC (No cable tidying, graphics card or operating system): 9 Hours!

..Why is Wu fiddling with the system-temp warning? Does he want this thing to melt before it warns him it's melting?

For some reason, this Far Side cartoon reminds me of Wu.

I think this one is more fitting for Brianna and her ilk.

So talking about Brianna, he computer took 9 hours to build which is roughly 8 hours longer than it should have. Do we know if Brianna was trying to do anything funky with it or is she really just as sluggishly slow building a tower as she is making a game?
Does Brianna have some undiagnosed ADD we are unaware of? She couldn't concentrate long enough on her computer to get it done in one sitting. She unpacked box - tweeted for an hour - waited for asspats - played peggle - harassed Frank - unboxed components - tweeted about it - played Final Fantasy - tweeted about it - installed the motherboard and so on...

John is physically uncoordinated, he can barely walk, that is why he doesn't have a motorcycle license. You saw his chopped vegetables, imagine him trying to assemble a PC. The short answer is that John is a spastic.

Wu doesn't want the computer PCsplaining to him.

My guess is he couldn't get something to work, tard raged ,Frank told him to go play with something else for a bit and wait for KF/twitter to reply with help.

But i'm also convinced Wu has mental disabilities. I liked John when he was fat, he was so close to looking like he had downs syndrome so you knew what you were in for.

He must have some pretty severe shakes if it takes him 9 damn hours to do something only slightly more complicated than tetris. I've built my own PC and upgraded it several times. It's really not that hard. You're not operating on someone's heart where one twitch can cause catastrophic damage.

Sorry, wu's wiki here makes total sense and is a very good read. Should be required reading for all new kiwis.

I meant on vanilla Wikipedia, there is a wiki for Rev60 written by one of John's Twitter orbiters.
Rev60 has its own wiki? Got a link?

SO EXCITED to release the trailer for Rev60: Special Edition!

Brianna and Frank sitting in a tree. K.I.S.S.I. OH GOD BAD THOUGHTS! BAD THOUGHTS!

http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/5677862/
Wu's character. Love those Int materia- Int is a purely DPS/attack magic stat.
Oh and one of her mounts is cash-shop bought, and the other two are based on paid subscription time- one of which requires 270 days of subscription
Edit:
Even at the lowest price (only available if Wu bought time in 180-day subs, the max you can get in one go) of $12.99/month, that's (if rounded to 9 months) ~$116.91 in game subscriptions for that mount. At the highest price ($14.99/month) that'd be ~$134.91.
The Sleipnir mount from the cash shop is $24 USD itself, as well.
It could be someone elses character or account. Do they still do account selling these days in MMOs?

Who does he think he's impressing with his peggle tweet there?
A lot of game devs will tell you that never assume your player bases skill is as bad as yours. People will find ways to beat the shit out of your game's hardest difficulty. That said, this tweet is shit.

This is veering a little too close to trolling plans for my liking, but I'll entertain any possibilities I can think of.

Brianna herself is a dead end, obviously. Though she'll again probably rage at some harmless comment somewhere and piss off a few more diehard fans.

The Patreon backers that remain could ruin Brianna's mood by asking to see what game development she's up to (none), or by again asking where the Natalie is. Unfortunately, this is also a dead end as any backer here who is brave enough to stand up to her will just get their social media presence dogpiled and libeled. Plus, it does nothing in regards to Revolution 60, since the backers of the Kickstarter most likely are not the few remaining backers on Patreon. Though, should Patreon change their service so that it's harder to artificially inflate the number of backers, that would completely crush Brianna's ego, but they're not going to do that because it's free money and Patreon isn't stupid.

The Kickstarter platform isn't going to do shit, period. The money has been raised, they've got their cut, now no fucks will ever be given. The backers of Revolution 60 likely fall into two categories; people who will start frothing at the mouth at the mere mention of GooperGrape, and those who have forgotten they backed the project. The first group will insist that we've always been at war with Eurasia, and the second is probably beyond caring. I'm not too familiar with the Kickstarter platform, but I'd guess there's no way to contact the backers, and even if one could, they'd likely ignore any messages because it's from some random on the internet. I'd advise against trying to stalk the backers and determine their accounts on other forms of social media because that's creepy and for once Brianna would be right with her crazy statements about people on the internet going out of their way to ruin what's left of her reputation.

So we're in for a long, slow fade into obscurity baring some drug-fueled incident where Brianna does something so outrageously stupid and offensive that nobody can even consider taking her side. Better stock up on popcorn.
If you want to start a fire PM people on Kickstarter about that recent tweet she made saying its done.

>not grounding the motherboard, CPU, RAM, etc. and making sure it outputs video BEFORE screwing everything together
How do you do that exactly? Grounding? Like make sure you dont have a static charge?

That PSU has this great potential hazard built into it. A really easy to make fry everything on startup mistake.
Whats the hazard?

I really really really hope that john doesn't use any thermal paste... But I have some extra, because when I did my build, not only did I order some, a tube came with my water cooler PLUS the mobo manufacturer included a complimentary tube.

And as to Wu doing ANY SORT of maintenance on that motorcycle, I'm calling BS
Does water cooling still have a risk of leakage?

Ohhh, someone should tweet that video I made of Wu's creepy game characters in VR... If Wu livetweeted trying to accomplish that (very easy btw, took about 5 minutes) that could be hilarious!

Maybe I'll get off my ass and rig them for animation, if my eyes don't fall out first....
Got a link to that video?

Anyone remember slot 1 CPUs, where the CPU and heatsink/fan came as one unit that you just plugged in to the slot like a PCI board? Why the hell did they stop doing that? It was so much more convenient. Its not like we have to buy cooling for graphics cards separately. After market heatsinks for graphics cards are the realm of weird overclocking enthusiasts.
Probably because it increases costs and the 3rd party fans make a lot of money off of selling you better ones anyway

It was 4x4gb ram to 2x8gb.
I had a conversation about spreading ram over 4 slots vs spreading over 2 and retaining expandability. Seems John has been lurking these forums as well as listening to his asspatters.
I read something on Toms Hardware where it said it depended on the Socket which combination was faster

I haven't looked at the specs of the 1080 too closely, but if it runs anywhere as hot as the 980 and Wu doesn't slap a couple for fans in that little box, it's gonna melt.
I heard they have less power requirements

She made some questionable choices about mass storage and form factor that are going to bite her in the ass eventually, but the stuff that she copied over from whomever made the original list are pretty solid.
We can expect a massive sperg-out when Wu discovers that:
a) she can't read any of her external hard drives with her PC, since Mac use HFS+ and on Windows you need a driver for that.
b) without drivers like MacFUSE, Macs can only read NTFS drives, but don't write on them.

By the way, Macs and PCs mix in a network as well as oil and water.
As a general rule: If someone asks you, if you can help them to deal with some Mac&Pc compatibility/network issues, turn around an run like hell. Also remove all instances of Bonjour from your Windows machines.

40 year old man bragging about playing vidya till 1 in the morning.

I'm not sure I can handle too much more professionalism.

Seeing as she's still level 50, I'm going to go ahead and say she's still nowhere near getting to Heavensward content. She may have finished the 2.0 storyline, but all the content you have to do between that and 3.0 (the start of Heavensward) will easily put you a few levels over 50. We're talking 5 major content patches, each with at least a new storyline dungeon or boss fight and a dozen or so quests that need to be done. John, as usual, continues to be an idiot.

Why would she need to network her computers? Its not as if shes a game developer or anything.

It's a good thing Brianna Wu/John Flynt has a twitter account and social media presence, so he can maintain his professional career that would disappear if he didn't make 200 twitter posts a day.

Brianna Wu/John Flynt sure looks more and more like the white male he is as he ages. If this is 38, imagine what 48 will look like.

That's as simple as making sure you either have a grounded wrist-strap on (and connected to a ground) or simply touching a grounded part of the case to discharge any static buildup prior to touching sensitive components. You don't want to discharge static through them

Does water cooling still have a risk of leakage?

Not as much as it used to, especially with the self contained loop ones you can buy now. I'm currently using one as my CPU cooler, and it was easier to install than a standard fan

Got a link to that video?

Possibly true, and to be honest, my experience has been that it doesn't make a practical amount of difference to the average user. It's mostly an issue for people obsessed with min/maxing, then posting their benchmarks in their forum sigs... How long do you think it will be until Wu starts that? :)

I think we may need to get those models boned, and subsequently, out to the SFM porn community to be boned in an altogether funnier manner.

$2500 for a fucking VR rig. Unbelievable. Could have bought a pre-built system for way less that would be just as sufficient. John, you are a fucking moron.

did she really pay that much?
I just looked at a random alienware. Lol like 1600 bux. Unless that means times have changed she could have done the same for $900
Why didn't she just use /g/ guides? They're written by shut-in autistics who have to save their birthday money and EIC credit to upgrade their master-race PC every year so you know every dollar counts.
