Eh. Alyx is, in comparison to "Theoretical Physicist and Murder Machine" Gordon Freeman, 'not as useless' as other NPCs (actually she is a glorified door opener, but then every NPC is usually either that, a shopkeeper, an additional gun or cannon fodder). And Chell is just another silent protagonist who happens to be female, change a few lines in the Portal series and she could have been male as well. Usually every silent protagonist is OP as fuck, because they are the main character in a video game. So I really see any SJ influence there.

Elizabeth in Bioshock: Infinite?

Bit later, but she's an actually useful sidekick.

Actually she is one of the better sidekicks... on the merits alone that she manages to keep her head down and throws you ammo. However, I haven't played the DLCs but the ending to Bioshock: Infinite was rather... dumb.

I think they went for a time-loop story at first, but then decided to go with the 'multiple timelines' thing, without changeling the entire story they already had written. The ending with Booker needing to die doesn't make any sense, since a) Booker wouldn't have gotten baptized, if he knew he would become Comstock, b) the Elizabeths could have just killed the version of Booker who decided to get baptized.

Also what is with the versions of Booker who got stuck in traffic and got baptized a day later?

Oh no, I'm not saying she's SJ, but she definitely is Feminist (as in the feminism that existed before the lunatics overrun the asylum)

That reminds me, has anyone else noticed that pretty much all the furniture in their house that we see looks like something you'd see in student housing? It all looks like stuff found off the streets or bought third-hand at a garage sale. Even the table in that picture looks like a cheap closet door put on its side. How do people with an income like Frank's not have anything that looks decent?
Yeah, and I've also wondered why their house is so filthy when they could easily afford to hire someone to come clean it at least once a month. Obviously afraid of Gamergate coming in disguised as a cleaning service, I guess.

I've been training in the new hitman.

I'm going to assassinate john walker flynt and brianna wu will never report this as a threat because john walker flynt john walker flynt john walker flynt

This may depend on how aggressive you are in defining something as feminist or SJW. Because Half-Life 2, to pick a specific example, has Alyx, a ridiculously strong, mixed race character. And from the same time period, you also have Portal 2, where the protagonist character is also an indeterminate race female whose only personality trait is an absolute refusal to give up no matter what.

Gaming was already well into social justice, of the sort that involved actual justice, well before dangerhairs showed up.

The thing here is those two characters are examples of well written (or more accurately "implemented" in the case of Chell) who just happen to fit into the mold of what SJWs and Feminists say is good. Personally, I have absolutely zero problems with characters like this, but that's because they are just good characters. If when these games were released and the developers specifically made a point of saying "We specifically included a diverse cast of characters that absolutely don't include any white men because reasons" then they never would have gotten any play time from me.

Diversity is all well and good, but "Social Justice" is nothing more jackasses imposing their will on other people in order to either feel better about themselves or just to feel superior to others.

/end slightly off-topic rant

So for those of you still around when R60 slumps out onto steam in 2023, we all going to pitch in for a copy to laugh it?

To be fair, anyone could make a BETTER version of Gallant's game in a day using Construct2. In fact, if it took him more than a day I'd chalk it up to pure laziness or pretending to be working harder than he was.

Wu's game has actually gameplay, as shitty as it is. It also has real programming and assets. That she paid other people to do. And has no doubt fucked up now, as we've discussed.

Sounds a lot like religion to me.

It was kind of funny to see SJ types getting upset at Bioshock for portraying Daisy and the Vox Populi as violent leftists. Because leftist movements don't kill children, it's unrealistic! At least, its as unrealistic as the Baader-Meinhof Gang that it was based off of. Or any of the hundreds of other communist/labor movements that turned bloody.

I just finished reading a handful of blogs about the problems of Bioshock Infinite. While the cartoonishly racist white villain is okay because racism is a thing that happened, none of them can make sense of the Vox going violent. After all, they're supposed to represent the civil rights movement and they didn't go around killing white people! Which shows just how America-centric of a worldview most of these bloggers operate out of

Meanwhile anyone who grew up in a former communist state (or Europe) would be completely unsuprised that revolutionaries would turn out as bad as their former oppressors. The communist revolutionaries in China and Russia executed a lot of kids for being the spawn of land-owning oppressors.

Brianna didn't break it. And I'll tell you how I know.

Rev60 is Brianna's babby. She actually cares about it despite it being a fucking trainwreck. But the thing is, the last time it was up, it didn't do well - and she knows it. All the Gamergatesploitation (this is a thing) and all the attempts to capitalize on her own victimhood succeeded only in getting Rev60 into 834th place in the Apple store ratings.

The game, as we know it, was a failure.

Wu is acutely aware of what will go down when that game releases: Exactly what happened when she tried to false-flag herself. Rev60 is going to be savaged and absolutely torn to shreds. With Steam Refunds a thing now, Brianna Wu will be more quantifiably a failure than ever before. To Wu, the worst thing that could happen is obscurity and the surest way to ensure that is to delay the game's launch at all costs.

But it's a delaying tactic. One way or another, she's going to have to shit or get off the pot, and when she does, the Kiwi Farms' Autism Xanatos Gambit will be complete.

We are well-prepared for if and when the game launches.

This is what I'm starting to believe too. The PC game market is a whole other beast than mobile. The audience here use gaming PCs and have technical experience. These are people who get upset when a game doesn't hit 60FPS. The terrible reviews will be public for everyone to see and Steam doesn't give a shit about her crybaby tactics to get them removed. Sales numbers are available so there is no hiding what an utter failure the game turns out to be. And refunds mean there is no risk in seeing what an abomination it is.

And perhaps most importantly, Wu is irrelevant in gaming circles now. The games journalism industry has forgotten about her. She isn't going to get sympathy articles about how great the game is because PC gamers are much better at calling out bullshit. There is no way this can go well.

Wu will delay for as long as she can because it's all she can do. But each day more and more people realize what she is. An unemployed housewife.

At this rate I kind of wonder what would happen if we ripped the models and released it a version of it ourselves on Steam Greenlight.

It's not like there hasn't been infinitely worse cases of people selling others' content on Steam before.

Happy 700 everyone.

Just went and read the kickstarter page again for Rev60..there's a lot of pissed off backers there, and Wu's basically blanked them all, ignoring all their questions. Somehow thinks this is a good business decision?. I laughed when I scrolled back to this little gem:

Given it was "done except for redoing skeletal meshes" in march 2015, it should have been out over a year ago.
I like how she said she would have Steamworks. That would itself be another avenue of trolling
