$2k a month for doing nothing is still great.

A lot less great when you remember how artificially inflated it is.

Seriously, we've been watching Wu for almost a year and a half now. Every time her Patreon dips below a certain threshold, mysterious benefactors emerge to replace the backers she lost just days, if not hours before. Truly a bizarre coincidence, that. Sadly for Wu increasingly they've been pulling out which means the tactic's been getting less and less successful.

She's a failure, everyone knows it, and nobody thinks she's relevant.

You worded it quite well, right now as we speak John is literally making shit by throwing ridiculous amounts of money out the window, plagiarizing good works, ignoring any kind of serious or rigorous method and spending his day on Twitter rambling about dumb shit and dogpiling people. All of that to satisfy a power fantasy and forget the mess his life is despite all the privileges he had since the beginning.

If you're doubting yourself, always remember that at least you never spent 600 000$ for a failed project+Rev60, and who knows how much on a Twitter Posing Motorcycle. No one can take that away from you. Rejoice and embrace the universe like a blazing star: you're not John Walker Flynt.

Given the monstrous number of no-name 1-5 dollar donators, a lot.

Someone claiming to be one of her patrons did call her out about Natalie's non-existence anonymously through a medium post. After unsuccessfully trying to get them to reveal who they were (and claiming Natalie had an upcoming interview with a "major news organization" that never materialized), Wu cried "GAMERGATE" and promptly ignored them. I don't think it went anywhere after that.

That would be the InformUs Incident.

FFHackster, a utility designed to enable you to streamline hack creation. You can do everything from edit spells and enemies to weapons and classes. Even the world map can be edited! You're still restricted by the myriad issues the NES FF1 has, such as data capacity, the way elements and such works, and so on, but if you're the kinda shit that's wanted to edit FF1 for a dog's age, this is your program.

As for the hack I made, I called it FF1 Revised. It was designed to make the game a bit more true to the original translation whilst balancing out the spell lists a tad and improving the viability of various classes. Some enemies are made harder, the translation I tried to get a bit closer to the original given the game script, and it featured modded sprites intended to make the game a bit closer to its future release. The spell list was completely rebalanced to get rid of the dead wood that cramped a lot of the spell list and did nothing - if not help enemies. |

I'm legit surprised that the file still works.

Some new goodies are also scattered around including a new sword that rounds out a vital and missing part of the arsenal - be forewarned, however - several enemies are much stronger and more brutal - especially the bosses. It's been a while since I've done anything with it, let alone bugtested it; it was something I did between projects over a decade ago, really, but if for some insane reason you want to play it, the ROM is here.
I will check this out. There are some really good FF1 hacks at Romhacking.net.
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1631/ Final Fantasy Restored is good if you are looking for translations and bug fixes as well as a battle menu redesign.
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/652/ Grond's Final Fantasy is nice if you want something different.
There are others that make the game totally different and hack just about everything.

More wuness

The rest is politisperg john and that shit is boring

WHERE
IS
THE
GAME
I wonder if its possible to uncensor that.

Yep. Wu was willing to cooperate on the quid pro quo the poster reveal their identity (presumably for blackmail reasons), and when they wouldn't cooperate, Wu called it a GG false flag and refused to discuss the subject again.

It's one of the reasons the only way we will ever see the mother of all chimpouts is if Wu was put in a situation, where, under penalty of law, he HAS to fish or cut bait, no question asked and no bullshitting allowed.

The Kickstarter backers getting restless was what triggered his latest spat of actually doing shit because he fears them suing him for fraud or just demanding their money back, which amounts to the same embarrassing end result.

Short version, Flynt hates being trapped in situations he holds zero leverage, and once R60 is out what little leverage he has goes poof, which is why he's draged his ass so long on releasing it at all. Once of the reasons he recalled the original was essentially to drag this charade out as long as he could, a trick he can't pull again if the SE version bombs.
Should ask that Patreon guy who confronted Wu to report her to various Consumer Protection Agencies and see where it leads. Someone who has been scammed has more sway than someone who doesnt. $2000 bucks a month is not a paltry amount.

I heard Rev 60 will soon be released

Supposedly Bri and her "team" (Frank and the mutts) were trying to release the binary (who the fuck calls it that anymore?!?) to Apple yesterday. I love the phrase "trying". It's actually very simple to release an app to Apple for approval into the App Store, Bri. Unless, of course, YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACTUAL APP TO RELEASE!

Normally, I'd say the Steam store page becoming publicly available with information about the game is a good sign of impending release. However, in Brianna's case, the less potential buyers know about the game, the better. Also she can't handle criticism worth a damn, thus why after going through Greenlight the discussion boards been available since never (and the false flagging incident, but that's a horrible disproved lie and definitely didn't occur except half of Steam was there hitting F5 and watching the salt flow). Unfortunately, I have the feeling that if a release occurs, it'll come with little warning, be announced over Twitter, and then we'll have all of four minutes to notice and start preparing popcorn before Brianna pulls the store page down forever after she explodes in rage over the forums.

You do have to wonder, if R60 really is code complete, published to the various stores and really just awaiting someone hitting the publish button, why is it that she doesn't announce a release date?

It's getting to the point where she's actually up against some time pressure to get the thing released before the summer sales drought kicks in and, more importantly the Steam summer sale starts, releasing at that point would be commercial suicide. What she's doing seems so haphazard and devoid of any strategy that it makes me think either the release really isn't going to happen at all, or that Wu just doesn't care what happens to R60.

He could put the store page with "coming soon " but we all know that is not going to happen , this keeps proving my theory that john just reuploaded a old file and called a day

I know this has been said before, but I would so love to know how much of that $1,932 is John throwing money at his own Patreon to make it seem important. I would bet that number is embarrassingly high at this point.

$2k a month for doing nothing is still great.

Yo to get an idea how much of that is really other people's money or her own money coming back to her from someone else. Look at how she blows cash on pay-to-play game power ups. Spending frank's cash is like using toilet paper if it can make wu feel like a winner. You know she kept that shit propped up over 2k until it hurt and there was just no fucking way she could spend another cent on it. I have to wonder if it'll take a tumble soon when she can start pocketing the income from her game and using money that was going to patron to prop up fake sales on her game. Right now in Wu math sinking money into her patron is effectively worth something like 1/10th what it used to be not even propping up her most significant digit for her trouble.

Has wu ever called rev60 'the game gamergaters dont want you to play' or something dumb like that yet?
The outrage warrior crowd she works has no real interest in playing games in the first place, so that would be a dicey strategy, at least.

Hah, immortalised forever as the rube who spent the most on a hilariously pay-to-win game.

You'd think she'd be embarrassed.

You'd think she'd be embarrassed.

Frank's the one who should be embarrassed, since he paid for it.

I'm sure John's sucker Patreon donors also contributed to John's addiction to shitty pay-to-win vidya.
