"Estradil Estradiol, a member of the 17b estrace class is another wonderWow all the lies in this. This was written in 2006? She was shitting on her parents even then when she was still in her last years of college. Is this one the wiki @Jaimas
drug. When I take these pink pills four times daily I thank them deeply
for the access to new feelings and emotion they allow. Estradiol makes it
possible to feel deeply, to experience emotion as a woman does. It makes
it possible to cry, to sympathize and even to burn with righteous anger."
...as if men are incapable of any of these things. Men don't cry? Feel passionate anger?
It's become apparent to me, through our collective years-long kiwi-vestigation of all things Wu, that one of the defining aspects of her neuroses is her long-term fetishization of all things associated with womankind. Think about it: not only has Wu done what seems common to MTF transexuals, by obsessing over the physically apparent aspects of womanhood, (long hair, sexy skirts, "girl power" life accessories, cute lil' frou-frou dogs, etc.) she has actually managed to lift the whole concept of being a woman up on such a high pedestal that reality can't hope to compare.
Think about what we know of John Flynt: he was a fat, angry, uncreative and asocial outcast. Wu has decided that, as a woman, each of those tendencies needs to be reversed to its extreme polar opposite: not just thin, but (at the outset of life as a woman, at least) obsessively exercising, borderline orthorexic. If Wu as an adult gains weight, she will still insist that she exercises to a degree which doesn't seems in accord with her actual physiology. Why? Because girls are thin and sexy! Wu has attempted to cloak her natural anger with the pseudo-sarcastic veneer of being above it all, with many "child"s and sarcastic message-ending hearts. She needs to seem, if not actually be, above it all. Why? Because women only burn with "righteous" anger, and are altogether much more in control than Johnny Flynt ever was. John Flynt was a creative failure: by all accounts, Socially Unconscious was a spectacular disaster, owing to both its general dearth of quality but also its shameless "homage" to sources both common and obscure. To excise this "manly" experience of total artistic failure, Wu herself must trumpet the mediocrity of Rev. 60 as not just an aesthetic success, but a financial one as well, which strains credulity with even a cursory examination of Giant SpaceKat's budgeting. And to right the wrong of being a social leper? That's easy: Wu must be the most liked, most powerful twitter-warrior in all of SocJus. This is why Wu continually refers to her number of followers: to her, this is representative of her success as a woman, and is in itself a "proof positive" of her femininity.
Wu is, in many ways, the worst sort of person to transition sexually, because she has so fetishized the idea of being a woman that the difference between this idealism and her actual life has led her into even greater dishonesty than before. She mentions, in this "Tribute to John", that when she first underwent therapy with the intention of transitioning, that the therapists were reluctant to give her permission to do so, but that her "extensive knowledge" of all things dysphoria and trans-related eventually swayed the therapists into allowing her to do so. I now think that these particular records, which of course none of us will ever see, would be, to me at least, the most interesting parts of the Wu-story. I would love to learn why, exactly, the therapists initially refused her request to transition. Could it be that they, too, suspected that Flynt's perception of womanhood as a cure-all for his crumbling life was both extreme and unhealthy? I used to think that, at the very least, Wu was a legit transexual, in the sense that she was someone who had legitimate dysphoria and was the ideal candidate that SRS procedures were designed to "help"....but since I've come to the realization that Wu's perception of womanhood is entirely inflated, I'm no longer so sure that she is such an "ideal" transexual.
Actually, this is probably why she is such a sound fit for SocJus: Wu is used to defending and holding up an ideology that is not in accordance with reality, simply because she has reduced the alternative to "the worst thing possible", total evil. She sees things in black and white terms, with no nuance, and is willing to sacrifice anyone or anything which contradicts these integral aspects of her created personality.
She has, now that I think of it, also fetishized the idea of being a liberal and a democrat. It's quite similar to her view of the male / female dichotomy, and seeing as how she worked for Trent Lott when she was John Flynt, the political evolution she's undergone has become just one more buttress for her wholly unrealistic, highly fetishized, fantasy identity as a woman.
