This is something that honestly is pretty irritating about Brianna: her enormous hypocrisy in pontificating about "women's experiences." She has no problem AT ALL in talking over and bullying women who were born women and who have had experiences different from hers. She is a perfect example of what TERFs talk about when they go on about MtF trans people pushing themselves into "women's spaces" and taking control there. If she wanted to rant on about what life is like as a MtF trans game dev, and how that has impacted her life and her goals etc and how she is received in "tech" before and after transition, that would be one thing. (And also it would require that she stop lying about not being trans.) But she screeches on and on and on about WOMEN IN TECH and WOMEN IN GAMES, as if she is some sort of authority (meanwhile having actually crapped on any women in tech or game dev she has had professional contact with). She's not an authority on women's experiences, and I really wish she'd shut up about it, or at least qualify it. But her ego is too fricking huge for some modesty, humility and self-reflection.

I imagine it wouldn't have cost him that much to bring in a third party to help finish the project correctly and get the game out there.

She would insist that the person she hired would be a woman. Women may be rare but it wouldnt be that hard to find. But if she insists they come to her house to work shes limiting the pool from which she can choose from and she may end up with what happened in the first place which is paying money to train them.

A toploader Wu? A fucking toploader!? Are you even a real NES geek Wu? Anyone whos a NES geek knows that most toploaders are inferior due to only having a cheap RF output unless you pay out the ass for the rare multi-out revision. If you wanted to fix the lockout chip issue you could have just replaced the 10-pin connector for all of $8 bucks plus labor instead of paying $50+ for one off ebay. I shudder to think if shes actually using those toploader controllers too. The A and B button positions look so uncomfortable. I hope that she got a knockoff.

That looks way too good on that high def screen to be RF. Either she got a knockoff that basically runs an emulator, she shelled out a bunch of cash for a rare one with Nintendo AV multi-out or she paid money to get one that is modded. Considering that she is dumb and has a bunch of money all 3 are equally possible.

It's actually a given that a Kickstarter project will be delayed. I backed an art book and it's 3 years overdue. Still, this guy had a legit mental breakdown, while Wu spends her time posting on Twitter and playing video games.
 
Don't think I've ever seen a dev announce something to be available in 24h and then not deliver at least something.

The only time to talk to customers and use the words "in one day" or similar is when you have made absolutely sure that nothing prevents release. NOTHING.

We've hit the fucking singularity.

Pictures for sad children? I thought he burned all copies of the backers' books.

Also, I doubt Wu's game will ever be released and if it is it'll last a few days before she drops all support for it.
 
I wish I could tell my boss I'd have something done first thing in the morning and still be dicking around at 11 am.
