I guess I won't feel bad when I torrent his game with the trannylation patch.
Just kidding, that would imply that he'd actually release his game on PC and that I would waste the bandwidth.

Ah, the "abandonware" excuse. Ho could technically skate by, most software devs of ancient shit don't bother to sue unless they still make a decent profit off it, but it's still theft.

The ONLY way what Wu is doing is 100% legal is if he bought the ORIGINAL cartridge, ripped the ROM off with a cartridge dumper, applied a translation patch, then made his own ROM with a SNES flashcart, slapped a custom pseudo-official label on it, then played it on the original hardware.

Of course, he's likely bullshitting, since there ARE Mac SNES emulators.

Edit; It's even legal to emulate it if he bough the original rom, translated it, and then emulated it, but I doubt he did. Just buying the original rom is not enough if you emulate it, you need to rip THAT rom specifically and you can do what you want with that rom alone, playing it on an emulator with a rom ripped off the internet is still not entirely legal unless it's been released into the public domain.

Why not make a picture of you playing the game on the original SNES for maximum cred? You were able to show all your consoles no problem, but showing the TV turned on with Lagoon running on it isn't? It's almost as if... but no, that can't be.

At least you used pictures that can be found on google.

Final Fantasy Tactics was written and directed by Yasumi Matsuno when he first started working at Square after he left Quest. The game was modeled after one of his earlier games called Tactics Ogre (1995) which was also an isometric Strategy RPG with a grim political narrative. Despite the urban legend, Bahamut Lagoon was never intended to be Final Fantasy Tactics. The gameplay isn't even similar, BL was more like Fire Emblem with a Final Fantasy-styled battle system.

In other words, Wu doesn't even know the history behind the thing she says she likes.
 
The thing that's baffling is that Wu thinks any of this would fly. How fucking hard is it for someone of Wu's income to have normal SNES carts bought off Ebay? The proof of Wu's lack of gaming cred is apparent in everything she does. Even a child in the 1980s could do a fucking "congraturations" joke, or "I feel asleep," and Wu can't even mention not-retarded references to the games from her era. She could have shown off a cartridge of Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen for some serious nerd-cred. You don't even see her playing any of these SNES repro carts she's allegedly so proud of.

She's always been a gaming hipster, and that's all she ever shall be.

EDIT: One more Kickstarter note - she hasn't posted a project update since the December screenshots that she (at that point) had done months prior. So, those poor backers have missed all those spergfests where Wu (presumably drunk on attention, Nyquil, or both) said the game was coming in March. Brianna is seemingly doing everything in her power to avoid speaking to the backers of this project. That sure seems like the behavior of someone who has a game that's only two steps away from completion.

Honestly Ive always considered owning the original cart sufficient enough to get by. Taking a few shortcuts here or there should be fine.

I originally hated that she was sperging about some of the same stuff I liked but Ive gotten over that.

She plays games, but they're all either the latest hyped up game everyone's talking about, or pay-to-win shit so she can brag about how good she is at gaming.
 
If Wu actually played games, perhaps Rev60 would more closely resemble one. It seems like really, Wu wanted to make a movie or a CYOA based on Mass Effect. The "gameplay" segments are just filler between cutscenes.

When Wu talks about working on the re-release, have they ever talked about actually improving gameplay? It all seems to be about lighting effects or something else. Everything about the game feels like they're trying to create an epic AAA game feel while it still looks worse than Reboot from 1994.

I'm pretty sure that gamergate hackers will somehow destroy all her hard work on the pc port of the best game ever just before release. Ninjas will also steal all the backups making it impossible to ever finish. Wu and Frank will be 'pretty shaken' but will 'fight on' in television, radio and live speeches for very reasonable rates where they will detail the true horror of their experiences as well as talk about their upcoming projects.

This is just me picking nits here, but "excellent women characters" sounds like a seven-year-old typed this. "excellent female characters" perhaps? Also, does Wu-Hoo know that the entire playable cast this game is supposed to be males? Just curious if she had chimped out about that yet.
