No. Searches for a wide variety of terms, including "Brianna Wu," "GUC," "Guillot University Center," "Women's Studies," "Alabama," and other relevant words and phrases produce no hits at all on Google -- except for FLynt/Wu's tweet. And searching the university's own website for the word "Brianna" produces no hits for Flynt/Wu. There seems to be no online schedule of events planned in the university center. The university's press office has issued no release on Tranzilla screaming into town. The Women's Studies Center is silent as well. And there is no advance piece in the local newspaper. Whatever Flynt/Wu is up to, no one is promoting it at all. Probably a wise decision; I hear that UNA is a hotbed of GamerGator activity.

Assuming that the whole thing isn't one of Flynt/Wu's Twitter con jobs, there should be a story on the local paper's website on Friday or Saturday, unless the reporter does some homework and figures out that she's being played for a sucker.

The Bern actually does shit when he cares about a cause. He marched with MLK, he recently joined a picket line in New York, and he's running for political office because he sees massive inequality and wants to do something about it.

If anything, Hillary is the worst candidate as she's a fan of the status quo, being a natural born politician. Even Trump is a better choice as he sees the current is not working.

Meanwhile Republican John McCain way back in '08 pushed hard for civil partnerships to be a thing precisely because it shuts up the fundies while still handing the same marriage rights to gay couples. Largely because going to full blown marriage from no state whatsoever can and does freak people out.

Nearly every other country with equal marriage rights has done this method to help normalize such relationships to wider society, equalize the rights before fully equalizing the law. God only knows why the USA refuses to do similar.

As for Sanders... he actually doesn't particularly give a shit about LGBT issues from what I have read. He gives everyone an even chance and just lets folks take advantage of the opportunity. While mayor of Burlington, there was opposition to a Gay Pride March in the city and Sanders basically shouted down the critics on the basis of it being a civil rights issue:

UAH also has very well recognized physics and engineering programs. The fact that Huntsville and the areas around it have a massive portion of US aeronautic research and dabbles in biotech, and thus they wouldn't need to seek out a female "engineer", means that Wu going there is particularly hilarious. They probably have several people that already commute to Redstone Arsenal from Florence that could give a better talk about female people in their field. Or do planes, missiles, and biotech not count as tech anymore? Sorry if I sound defensive.
