This little brouhaha causes me to wonder once again if Flynt/Wu's game wasn't pulled because of a cease-and-desist from a law firm representing one of his artistic "inspirations."

In the same vein, when I initially laid eyes on the image in the following spoiler, my first thought was, "Where did they steal that image of Earth?"

I am well acquainted with the work of only three lolcows, but all three are sedulous plagiarists and violators of copyright and trademark laws. If this a characteristics shared by most of the cows?

Like we've already covered, Wu, sketching =/= inking. Someone who has been doing "professional illustrations" for years would know that distinction. Brianna really doesn't remember a goddamn thing that she tweets, does she?

Also, this is quite the eclectic list of careers Brianna has been in. Politics, illustrations, journalism, video games, engineering - all of which she supposedly did for "years" when she was in whatever field. And yet somehow along the way, she found the time to be homeless. Oh, and a man.

:powerlevel: I do some amateur 3d modeling from time to time. That Earth looks like a sample material from 3DS Max.

Kinda depends on your sense of humor as he's one of those beta whiners that are always sucking up to Wu. He's got a history of tracing his art though. Actually, he's pretty similar to Wu in a lot of ways, which I only realized after finding more out about Wu.

Adding the word, "Pass" after Inking doesn't make you seem any more professional, nor does it change the fact that you traced.

Basically, it's tracing over a pencil sketch with a pen or marker. Like how Chris traced over his pencil sketch pages and text from Sonichu with pen and marker.
What John did, though is trace over a screenshot from Sailor Moon with Illustrator's default pen. No signs of sketching. It looks like it's at the color stage.
This comes from an amateur pen-and-paper artist, I think this goes the same for digital art. Fuck that if I'm gonna have to spend thousands on Photoshop.

It's likely royalty free, just like the music from Rev60 (minus the tracks that he sampled and tried to pass off as his own). But then again ,he did have the phantom balls to steal Zelda SFX, so it's debatable.

Here's the thing: I too have years of experience as a professional illustrator. Did some editorial comics back in the back, even won an award for my work. But this isn't about me- this is just to clarify that I know what you think you're saying, and that it doesn't make any goddamn sense.

An "ink pass," Brianna, is when a person takes a rough sketch and refines it. What you have done is trace the outlines of an already completed cel drawing and try to call it something more than tracing. That is not an ink pass because you didn't refine jack shit- you just made a derivative and got caught red handed.

Kindly shut the fuck up and please get back to working on your personal masturbatory fantasy game- you know, that thing you have LITERALLY YEARS of understanding and yet have taken a year and a half to -from ehat is sounds like- even complete the most basic of operations.

I love how Wu's attempts at sarcasm are just autistically repeating the same phrase like its a magic chant that makes you win an argument.
Its always rlly bugged me the way has always said "*IM* working on my *MY* game." When talking about R60. It's a super inappropriate, disrespectful thing to do when you're on a design team. Not that Wu cares about appropriateness, respecting people, or has a team.

Just goes to show how detached she is from the reality of the industry she claims to be a pro in and rep of.

This is the same person who wrote eight pages in a book about Women in Tech and has said it was "her" book. Also the same person who has said in the past that half of frank's Hugo Awards belong to her because reasons. This one she might've been joking, but it's tricky to know for certain since most of the things she says you don't know if she's being serious or not.
