Correct me if I'm wrong, but knowing how to field-strip a Glock doesn't mean you can fire it accurately, or does it?

No, it means you can pull back the slide, and pull down a lever. There are battery compartments that are more difficult to get into.

When it was first released, one of its key selling features was how easy it is to field strip.

So as usual, Wu is boasting about something incredibly basic as if it is meaningful, trusting in the ability to get anyone banned who points this out and that Wu-worshippers will be too ignorant to call it out.

Brianna Wu‏@Spacekatgal
@missferran I grew up in Mississippi. I can disassemble and field strip a Glock.

Typical Flynt/Wu babbling bullshit.

If you have disassembled a gun, you can't then "field strip" the gun. To field strip a weapon means to disassemble it in the field in order to repair some malfunction. Field stripping is disassembling in the field.

Once again, Flynt/Wu tries to sound like an expert and ends up looking like a complete and utter fool. (See also: software engineer, game developer, investigative journalist and woman.)

The idea that every child in Mississippi can field strip a Glock is more bullshit. Most families in Mississippi can't afford a Glock. But Flynt/Wu must have decided that Glock is the Apple of the handgun industry -- an assumption that is another indication of her ignorance of firearms. People in Mississippi do know guns better than most, and they're going to take a 1911 ACP or one of its many fine clones over a Glock every day of the week. But our Annie Oakley tranny doesn't know that.

UP FROM THE DEPTHS,
SNARLING ALL THE TIME.
TALKING BULLSHIT,
IT'S PROBABLY A GUY.
BRIANNA!
BRIANNA!
BRIANNA!
AND JOHNNY FLYNT.
*Goofy music as John fucks up somehow, severing his penis off in some way*
BRIANNA!

Not sure if funny or stupid; But in this case Wu is just using a line from films and TV that they usually use to quickly tell the audience that the character is skilled in firearms. "I can field strip a pistol and reassemble it in 15 seconds." which is supposed to show intellect and ability. Of course, any one who knows anything about guns knows that stripping a gun is pretty much what you're supposed to do as part of the maintenance process anyways and is pretty much part of "guns 101".

Quick google scanning (what Wu likely does) seems to pin the guns "from new" at about $500 each via online retailers. Meaning yes, Wu is going sheerly for a glock on street cred basis.

Deleted after not being 4 minutes old. How very sad... :heart-empty:

"Brianna! What is best in life?"

"Ban your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their twitter followers."

I didn't really get hit, but to be fair, a disaster like Katrina made it so that a lot of people fled to other parts of the state/country.

Before going to bed, I checked Twitter again. Here's another Wu drop. Bernie sperging and Katrina talk.

Ah yes I remember now. We had a lot of Katrina survivors flood into Memphis. Samuel L Jackson came down to meet some of them. I dont remember seeing any pictures of tents on the highways though.

You know, each time someone emphasizes that they are telling a "true story" it is most likely complete bullshit from front to back.
Also, for someone who claims to be able to field strip a Glock since she was 15, she seems to be awfully intimidated by a guy with a skull mask and a hammer.

This is one of the things that Wu does a lot that irritates me. Taking something very simple and trying to make herself sound especially skilled for being able to accomplish it.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Wu is actually not experienced with handguns, and just recognizes the name "Glock" from hearing it on TV. Mostly because she specifically says "I can field strip a Glock" rather than something more along the lines of "I can field strip my Glock 17" Most handgun owners that I know specifically refer to the model as well as the make when talking about the weapon.

Also, while I haven't had hands-on time with every variant of handgun Glock makes (there are more than 25), I personally own a Glock 20 and have used a 17 extensively. To disassemble them for cleaning means to break them down into a grand total of 5 parts, one of which is the magazine. Not exactly a difficult task, once you are shown how.

As a last note, being able to take apart a weapon gives exactly zero information about whether you can actually competently aim and fire it. Maybe a video from a shooting range would be more effective as "GG nightmare fuel" than a "field stripping a Glock" video...

.... but for me personally, every video in which Wu appears qualifies as nightmare fuel. I'd almost call it a case of uncanny valley if Wu weren't technically a real person

I can reboot my computer the way a true hacker does, with control alt delete, because I grew up in Silicon Valley.

I'm convinced that if we posted photos of the Axe-Clanging Club from Cobra, Wu would be convinced it was a realistic interpretation of a Gamergate meetup.

... robotic marines known as "Renegades" are running amok in New Boston! Fight, MegaTran! For everlasting peace!
You're about 100 too late to that train. It's MegaTranny X and his partner LGBTQAYLMNOPZero.

"I learned how to change the motor oil on a motorcycle when I was 8"
That's cool, but not only did he learn how to do that, but he also learned how to wrestle a polar bear with his hands tied behind his back when he was 6, build a space shuttle when he was 5, and made the first Super Trans robot, MegaTranny.
Wu just admitted that he got "CRAZY DRUNK" before he was legal to drink.

I buy the whole "field strip a glock" thing as much as I buy the whole "Wu isn't actually a dude" thing.
