Fucking shit, the man is DEAD.Quit fucking hate-bragging and doing what's the online equivalent of pissing on someone's grave!
Love how he admits his team did most of the work here when he trying to kiss ass, he's also clearly insecure it won't be roasted for being shit:

Also, John thinks the guy pirated the game:

So basically, John's trying to pass the buck onto his "team". Stay classy, John W.

Wu, you don't seem to get the joke, so let me explain:

That's a screenshot of Bubsy 3D, one of the shittiest games ever due to piss poor design and shoddy graphics.

Strip out all the fancy shaders, and the stock version of R60 doesn't look much different. Like Bubsy 3D, your game is badly optimized and looks like refried ass on your target platform.
"No textures" Are you blind?
At least Bubsy 3d has the PS1 charm and a small excuse to look shitty, while Rev60 came out 12 years after it and looks just as bad as that.
5 days old and only 27 views on the latest video. Sounds like this game is gonna be... Revolutionary.

Also on this video.... https://vimeo.com ... I dunno about the game's lore, but did Wu put an animoo of herself into the game at 20 seconds? It has a resemblance of when Wu was doing the whole goth thing.
This reminds me of those old Tekken CG endings.
Could you distinguish which one was made in 1994?

This made me very nervous. One of the key signs that Wu is actually going to release the game would be giving copies to reviewers in advance.

But then she gawked that he shouldn't even have a copy. All is right in the world again. February nearly half-over and no progress update.

Truth be told, if I didn't know any better I'd think that Rev 60 was a failed ps1 game from the 90's and Wu was just some ugly old hag desperately trying to live off its "legacy".

I watched the trailer. If it was for babby's first CG movie that was done in her spare time, I'd say it wasn't terrible and maybe something I'd check out, but aren't game trailers supposed to show gameplay?

Comparing Wu's game to Bubsy 3D isn't fair.

to Bubsy 3D.

Bubsy 3D is a terrible game. One of the worst ever, in fact.
It's completely broken. Nothing in it works the way it should.

Yet I'd rather play it than Revolution 60, because at least things can happen in it. Bubsy 3D fucking up is fucking wildly entertaining to witness. Revolution 60 is just fucking unspeakably boring and snide.

After watching the Rev 60 trailer, I honestly had a big urge to go back and play Legend of Legaia on PS1. That game might've not been much, but it's leagues above Rev 60.

This trailer is fucking hilarious. Everything that could possibly go wrong with a trailer goes wrong with this thing. It's 47 seconds of jump cuts, random dialogue clips that reveal nothing about the possible plot or setting, and to top it all off there's some generic "TENSION BUILDUP" soundtrack that Wu probably ripped from a royalty free (or not, who knows with her) site.

Then, at the very end, we get a title screen that looks absolutely nothing like the neon vomit covered trash that we've been subjected to thus far. Aesthetic design has to carry into the logo, Wu. Blizzard doesn't write "Starcraft" in Jokerman font for a reason. If you're going for "bad 70s acid trip in space" then that should reflect in the title screen, too.

The trailer shows that the character models will be the same polycount wise.
Expect this game's requirements to be fucking hilariously high.

This looks like the trailer to an unreleased, shitty cyberpunk anime-cash-in on the PSX. It's like Shogo Mobile Armor Division, except Shogo actually emulated chinese robot cartoons fairly well.

VFuak6s.png

I mean, look at this thing. It actually looks worse than the iOS version.

It looks like something slapped together in an afternoon- hell, her pose hasn't even been altered to avoid the armor clipping through it's lower half. The meshes look like ass. Holiday doesn't look like she's in the same universe as the backdrop.

Sums up Rev60 fucking perfectly, though.

Noticed something else wrong with the lighting, it doesn't match the time of day nor does the lighting look natural. It looks more like Holiday is being illuminated by a super bright construction light. Hell, this scene would look marginally better without the lighting.

You'd think with Wu's vast experience with video games he'd know too much lighting can ruin the atmosphere and aesthetic.

Dead or Alive 2 was released on Dreamcast originally, and looked fantastic at the time. Of course the PS2 was more popular than the Dreamcast so the game was ported. When ported, the devs added so much lighting effect that you couldn't even see the beautiful intricacies the devs added to the environment. It was like not being able to see the stars because you're in a well lit city. Just goes to show the latest, greatest hardware means nothing if the game is poorly designed, and since Wu claims to be a huge fan of Dead or Alive as a series it should've been common knowledge to him.

Do you know what would never happen, but would fucking make my year if it did?

If Rev 60 comes out, then ends up on Feminist Frequency as an example of tropes vs. women.

Because, when you get right down to it, the character designs are to some degree sexualized, especially for a game that's coming from a "feminist" developer.

I can't even imagine how perfect that would be.

My understanding is that the income through patron is handled as standard 1099 income. This means it's fully taxed. If you are registered as a proper charity (e.g. USA 501(C)(3)) it might not be taxable. Also if you are doing it through a business, as with all business income, you can legally take deductions against business expenses.

There is really no need to speculate about their policy:

I imagine she is operating within the law here -- at least to the same extent as most people in the situation where you are a high earning husband and set up a a otherwise unemployable housewife with an often money losing business like a cupcake shop or little clothing boutique just to get her involved in something and get her out of your hair. In this particular case, it backfired for two reasons: first, because Bri just sits around at home and creates drama thus complicating things for Frank, and also because Bri is in fact not actually a housewife at all but rather a MAN.
I wonder what the tax situation is for paying yourself with sockpuppets. Seriously Id like to know.

I'm happy to be proven wrong (because I won't blame anyone for putting out a game, even if it's shit) but I really, really doubt that Wu will ever release Rev60 on Steam. The best thing might be that it gets put back on the Apple Store. Wu has nothing to gain and a great deal to lose from its release. That's assuming she's even capable of finishing the game at all, which, as others have said, is likely not the case.

While Rev60's still in development, Wu can claim a whole lot of shit. She can claim to be at the forefront of the gaming industry. She can claim to still need to hire women. She can make a whole lot of obnoxious and smug statements about game development, because she's currently in it. Once Rev60 can be officially declared finished, she won't have that any more, and people will recognize her as just another annoying amateur designer with a shitty product. If Rev60 is finished, Wu will have to move onto another game or risk becoming (more) irrelevant, which means either abandoning her Sonichu (unthinkable) or putting out a sequel, which everyone in the industry will just roll their eyes at.

Moreover, putting it out there on Steam will shatter her hugbox. It's not just going to be weens that spam her game with negative reviews, there'll be actual reviewers intrigued by the controversy trying to have a look. The success of Undertale has renewed interest in crowdfunded games. And they're going to find a dogshit game riddled with optimization errors and borderline plagiarism, and they'll tell their audience about it, an audience far larger than Wu's Twitter. She won't be able to dismiss real reviewers as Gamergate trolls. She'll reinvoke the wrath of SJWs for her skinny white woman fetish, and she'll certainly never be able to raise her zillion dollars for VR tech like she dreams of.

What happens if she doesn't put out the game? Nothing. The only real consequences might be from renegading on her crowdfunding promises, but I doubt it; that funding had nothing to do with the game and everything to do with GamerGate. Her supporters don't care if she produces a game or not.
It depends. If she pissed off enough SJWs they might want their kickstarter money back. Considering how SJWs turn on each other and the tactics they use they very well could get her in trouble. Another issue is if she releases a game that doesnt function ie crashes non stop. She technically would not have fulfilled her obligation if the game does not work.

Thats some BS. Even private schools have to teach a certain curriculum based on state law. I know Mississippi is backwards as fuck but even they teach evolution.

John is an "expert" about not only the "presidential" branch, but all of US government and DC. Tom Clancy's got nothing compared to our hero.

My background is in DC politics and stand-up comedy....

Part of the reason I hate Tom Clancy novels, is I’ve worked in DC politics, I’ve been there at the highest levels, and Clancy gets pretty much every detail wrong. I’ll spoil the ending for you, this novel spends 250 pages with “girlpower adventures” and then a 9/11 like event happens that is absolutely realistic with what I and my friends experienced that day trying to make it to the PEOC, Presidential Emergency Operations Center. This novel is ironic with outrageous Seinfeld-like characters wreaking havoc in a VERY real world. Even the phone number of the Washington Post has been researched. As Lani puts it in the foreword “If you learn a thing or two reading this novel about the way the real world works, it’s all very true....”

Cheerleaders have nothing on my energy, and as a former politico, I meet people all day long and get them excited about my work....

The SASE is for your response only, not for the return of any materials.
Who could fail to be impressed with a guy who looked up the phone number of the Washington Post? Take that, Clancy.

During the September 11 attacks, the PEOC was occupied by then-Vice President Dick Cheney, Laura Bush, Lynne Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Norman Mineta, Mary Matalin, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Joshua Bolten, Karen Hughes, Stephen Hadley, David Addington, Secret Service agents and other staff, including an army major who was a White House Fellow.
... and one random, crazy tranny from Mississippi. "It's all VERY true."
I wonder if we can get some proof this didnt happen. I imagine there would be some people who wouldnt be happy seeing Brianna saying stuff like that. Kinda like with military impersonators.

im bored right now and decide to watch how @Smutley was killing himself playing R60, this came to my attention

Also lol Bulge Hair using the ICARUS System

i totally forgot about Maria Enderton and how she is not with WuWu anymore, John fired(?) her in february of last year, so i can assume john has the build she finished and is doing kiddies work to justify not releasing it

I dont know what Carol VanEseltine is doing, but whatever it is must not be very profitable considering she has a patreon and is a very poor one, barely 115 bucks

Jenna Hoffstein is the person responsible of that god awful Combat System, she now has her own company and is working for Hasbro for god knows what so don't expect any upgrades in that matter.

so John is doing all the work alone in his couch gg

remember this every time john said "we" when talking about his office

edit: a little correction i was making jokes about how the battle system is like Megaman Battle network when in reality is more like Megaman Starforce
I havent seen the credits but is everyone who worked on the game credited correctly? I imagine that might be one of the bigger gripes of the employees. Though fighting to have your name on this shit might not be a good idea.

Where did it say March? I'd like to update my imgur album.
EDIT: never mind, it's in the very opening.

ANOTHER EDIT: This will not end well:

Time to show her the copyright on SocUnc

This trailer fails on other levels too: After looking at the trailer I have no idea what kind of story Rev 60 is going to be (granted, I have read the synopsis on the wiki and had no idea then either) all it tells you is "something-something-sci-fi-something-something-action". It doesn't introduce any characters, and you can only guess that Holiday might be the main protagonist...

If you mute the file, you see even more things wrong with this trailer, most of the scenes shown are people standing/walking and looking at each other. The rest is 'action', but you don't have the faintest idea what is going on.

It's like Wu lurked for a few hours on Apple Trailers and then tried to recreate a Trailer (complete with a poor mans Inception-fog-horn-sound-effect) without having any idea what a trailer needs to accomplish.
