Again, we're talking draft conditions, not the standard military requirements. The majority of America isn't in the physical condition to get into the military right now under usual circumstances.

There are things I hate more that listening to wealthy, overprivileged blowhards wax poetic about the potential of seeing combat, but for the fucking life of me I can't think of what they are right now.
The disgusting thing about this is that the second a draft was instated and Wu was called on to go serve, she'd pull the fastest 180 you've ever seen.

While I realize this goes against popular opinion, I don't think Wu is psychotic. I think she's a spoiled, entitled, petty human being who has been shielded from having to grow up, but who is quite capable of behaving if the proper expectations and consequences were set in place.
Odd as it may seem, that's one way I think military life would be good for her, now that I think about it.

Wu would happily sit in jail to protest a draft for war.

I don't know about America, but in Australia the answer is generally no. Most people in the heights of military power went to officers' school, meaning they skipped the boot camp and the breakdown of personal identity and the other stuff the army does to recruits. The military wants its officers to think about war and combat in a very different way to its cannon fodder. It is possible to achieve so much as an NCO that the military will send you to officers' school, but it's pretty rare.

Yeah, most paths to Officer involve decisions you make before college, not after bootcamp: you can try to get into West Point, or go to a college with a ROTC program, or get a valuable degree in a field the army needs (like medicine) and be offered a commission based on that, or get a regular degree and try to get into Officer Candidate School. The last is the one open to NCOs who have "worked their way through the ranks", but that's not how most officers are made, by far.

No. And even those aren't reasons.

1. Hillary is just a few years younger that Bernie. He's 74, she's 68. All things considered it's a pretty minuscule difference.
2. Hillary is as white as a chalk mine.

It's more tragic when you realize that during the lead-up to the Iraq War, John Flynt was, purportedly, a chickenhawk. The original blog page in question seems to have been memory hole'd, but considering that Wu was once a "staunch Republican" (she wasn't, she paid lip-service and hoped it was a path to power) worked for the likes of Trent Lott prior to her tranny awakening, are you at all surprised by this information?
