Gah. This is such terrible advice. Games are about the riskiest software segment that exists, you're about as likely to win the lottery as make a sustainable games business. Wu herself is in the process of proving this, since her games company has pretty much collapsed at this point and has made a huge loss. Of course, there's no telling what Flynt/Wu means when he writes "major college." This is the same guy who tried to pass off speaking to 10 people at the University of North Alabama as delivering a keynote address at the University of Alabama. In this instance, he probably should have written "major junior college."

And you're right about checking credentials. You don't get to teach a course for college credit in a field where your only experience is mismanaging a vanity project funded by your husband.

Nonetheless, it would be fun to watch Flynt/Wu get fired after revealing the only reason he would actually take such a job -- acquiring a position of authority with the ability to misuse that authority in the rabid pursuit of college-age dick.

What would a rich white man who couldn't graduate college despite a ten year free ride know about the value of an education?

Pretty sure the only thing that happened was John most likely emailed a local junior college in the Boston area and offered to teach a class on game development free of charge, or for some minuscule fee. The college then sent a response email along the lines of "Thank you for your offer, we will keep that in mind", basically a denial, and that turned into "A major college contacted me about possibly teaching a course!", because technically the college did contact John back.

Like with all lies by narcissistic liars there is a nugget of truth in there that gets spun out to portray the liar in a much greater light than they actually are. John and Donald Trump have a lot in common in this sense.
