I still suspect the main reason for the existence of Holiday's vroom vroom is that Brianna has one and completely identifies with Holiday and thus the latter must ride one too.

(And the main reason for the graviton wheel stuff is that spinning wheels would have been too bothersome to animate. It's not like there's a better visual solution to futuristic motorbikes.)
Wait... are you insinuating John should outright steal a design or concept?
Clearly you're underestimating that Godzilla in Tech's sheer power of creativity!
:story:

I hope they resort to chargebacks.
Can they do that? Dont credit cards set a time limit on that? Or are you talking about Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is likely the reason we even got the "IT'S COMING THIS WEEK!" deadline from Brianna. A deadline that, as I mentioned when she said it, was not even mentioned to her backers which should tell us all what we need to know about how uncomfortable Brianna really is with the current state of the game. I'm still wondering if the game even runs at all anymore after she added all those ridiculous lighting effects and God knows what else.

I wish we were aware of Wu back in 2013. I'd have gladly donated some money just to leave "updates" of my own to the backers - namely all the random Tweets of Wu sperging about video games rather than finishing the own that people have paid for.
Did she ever give out the rewards or did she not even bother with them? Any of those digital rewards she listed are beyond her ability to program.

She picked such a close deadline that I really thought for a moment she would deliver the game. I don't know why she keeps doing this to herself.

She's trying to force herself to finish the game. She totally thought, when she made the meteor tweet, that she could finish it by the end of the week. So by announcing it out loud, she thinks she will stop tweetering and twitching and flying to San Francisco.

Y'know, like an addict might publicly announce they are giving up beer forever.

I don't know whether shipping was impossible anyway or whether she got too caught up with the busy work of logging into Kickstarter to ignore her backers, but we've got 12 hours left.

To be fair, I kinda thought that this would be the time she finally shipped it, since she tweeted that it was time to stop tweaking and ship it so she doesn't turn into George Lucas. But I also thought that at the end of February when she announced that she was going on Twitter-vacation so she could hit some "serious deadlines."

Wario is a character that has saved people time and time again, and has a spinoff series about addictive party microgames. His greed motivates him to do great things. Much like Trump, he too, is unstumpable because all his shit is already out there.

In all honesty, Trump can rock the WAH style pretty nicely.

Credit Cards can indeed dispute transactions within 60 days of opening a transaction, which could be an option (although Kickstarter doesn't look like a site where people should expect that sort of instant gratification)

Kickstarter FAQs

When I take a look at Terms of Use, Section 4, I find myself asking whether Wu's conduct really meets the standards outlined on the site:

"Throughout the process, creators owe their backers a high standard of effort, honest communication, and a dedication to bringing the project to life."

High Standard of Effort? Wu is clearly shilling / Cisplaining for Minorities she doesn't identify as / picking fights on Twitter. It's not entirely off topic, as Patreonbux is tangentially related to Rev 60. Wu PAID PEOPLE to make parts of Rev 60 already; now they're not around and its fairly obvious that the same effort isn't going into the game.

Honest Communication.

Generally this means having things like FINANCIAL DATA.
What budget does this take? What is the money being spent on to make this work?

Having a ROAD MAP towards completing a project.
Where is Rev 60 now? What does the next build incorporate? When is that projected out?

Actually having non-fake employees (Hi Natalie) at a non-fake office.
And even responding to requests about the game without having some kind of Gamergate related Seizure.

At two years overdue, I think this has gone to breach in contract. This is completely indefensible as presented, and I have to think that going to court and demanding some kind of remedy (Full Refund? Some kind of hard agreement on reporting on the status of the project in detail? ) could proceed. It is perhaps unfair to claim that Wu's planned release dates are outright lies on their own, but so many of them suggests some kind of failing.

Dedication.

Maybe.

Wu probably should give up on Rev 60 and admit that she lacks the qualities to get it done. Its a financial disaster, it is intrinsically sexist (why are all the characters spindly women shooting men? Why is this screwing with China?) and depending on the source, it is somewhere between "Inadequate" and "Delete this even though its free to try" in quality.

Wu hasn't done this. She's still after trying to make her SOCCON characters in any kind of media, a goal that she's had for a long time. It's going to suck and everyone but Wu knows it, but Wu can't quite pull the plug on it.

====

I think Wu could be sued over her actions with her Kickstarter. At a minimum, it seems like she has not lived up to her agreement with the site in honoring its conditions towards backers. Kickstarter doesn't do refunds, but heading to the courts with a dozen blown release dates and hard proof that Wu brushes off questions about her commitments as "Gamergate" is probably enough to force her to agree to some kind of demand.

The GethN7 style of putting Wu in a courtroom and therefore taking away all of her narrative tricks would be VERY INTERESTING to see applied, even if this is just a civil matter to make Wu honor her agreement. Forcing Wu to be transparent and have to admit that Natalie doesn't exist, GSK doesn't have an office and her finances are in WTF territory would be a large mountain of salt, and probably the end of most of her "Game Dev" credit online too.

Or maybe it doesn't happen; Wu doesn't show up, the court rules for the plaintiffs and demands that Wu return the Kickstarter Monies and shuts it down. That would be almost as good, and it would also end the sad farce that is Wu's claim of being a game developer.

I doubt Kickstarter gives a shit. Considering how many kickstarters have failed to deliver and offer refunds or even the current debacle with Mighty No.9, Kickstarter won't do shit about Wu.

The most someone pledged is $250. Not worth suing over and I doubt a lawyer will do this on contingency. Now it may be worth reporting to both state and federal consumer protection agencies. 12K is a decent amount but by no means a huge amount. Washington made a move on a similar kickstarter but that was for $200K . Also the city of Boston might be willing to do something especially if she gets tax breaks.

Clearly you're underestimating that Godzilla in Tech's sheer power of creativity!
:story:
Wu has always stolen designs and concepts, from the poor, silenced homosexual John Flynt (No relation to Brianna Flint).
Rumor has it that he's trapped in a well at GSX offices, which is why no one has heard from him.

Kickstarter isn't going to give a shit until one of these things explodes in a major way and drags them into an expensive, messy class action case. Then they will do the absolute bare minimum necessary to keep it from happening again.

Look at all the dust. He hasn't had the thing for even six months.
Hope it doesn't get fried when John tries to install that wifi card. If it happens, then RIP Mac Pro. You deserved better.:jace:

I was hoping not paying attention to this thread for a few days would make a surpise pop up, but it's still the same sadsack good-for-nothing Wu that is determined to avoid releasing Rev60 at all costs and still continues to be unwilling to do any work.

I hope the kickstarter backers start kicking up a huge fuss.
