I fully expect computers that can max the Crysis games, play Fallout 4 and Skyrim with 4K HD graphics and emulate Shadow Of The Colossus and the Gran Turismo PS2 games at HD at full speed (which requires some amazingly high spec PCs to do) will weep and gnash their teeth trying to make this abomination run worth a damn.

JFC the environment looked FINE before all that color and 'lighting' was added to it.

It resembled a relatively believable sci-fi environment.

Now it looks like a tryhard discotech

I hear through back channels that the new soundtrack features the Village People singing In Rev 60 to the tune of In the Navy. The lyrics will simultaneously amaze and horrify.

Write that down children, "spreadsheets" is another term for "hundreds of dollars"!

Remarkable that Wu can't even admit to being a pay-to-win scrublord and even makes up bullshit about stuff that matters nothing in the real world. Habitual lying sure is a harsh mistress.
Oh so that is basically EVE then.

If Revolution 60 ever hits Steam I can forsee that the few initial reviews will be positive because Wu's asspatters will be the first to get the game, then, when the Steam community proper hears about the game and tests it the ratings will dip into the red faster than you can say "#Gamergate".

Steam's community is not known to be nice to shit games, and they will be even more unfriendly when they start figurung out who Brianna "John Walker Flynt" Wu is. One might say they'll be outright appaled.

Refunding statistics will also be a nightmare for Wu .
Are there any statistics for refunding that the public can see or is it just for devs?

I'm mainly waiting for the absolute salt that will flow if someone like Jim Sterling or TotalBiscuit completely shits on the game in a YT video.

:semperfidelis: I've already got my dew and doritos ready for the 3 hour battle of a lifetime. Expect HIGHER RESOLUTION videos and better results on the mini games!

Twitter idiots are posting this:

Yes John, back in the 90's. When every kid everywhere was privileged enough to have parents that were willing to drive with them to Wal-Mart at 7am to buy horribly expensive NES/SNES games. I remember them costing something bewteen 50 and ~75DM but that might be a bit wrong.

And they'd spring for the strategy guide too, why not. Money does grow on trees after all.

Wu's parents were horrible though and there is no contact anymore. And they certainly didn't give someone $200k to shit up an animation studio idea. No sir.
Well this did remind me of when I would call every store in town to check prices onc ertain games.

Yeah. Even my village had a small store that stocked computer games as well as tabletop gaming stuff. In the city there was an Electronics Boutique as well as Forbidden Planet that sold games, and by like 1995 or so most of the big music retail stores also sold games and movies, probably about the time the original Playstation came out.

This is not to mention the most common way we got games as a kid, which was as shareware on magazine cover tapes and disks.

Wu's experience seems to be that of a spoiled kid who had to have everything he saw on the shelves of the supermarket.
Did you know Service Merchandise sold video games at one point like in the back? Hey kids, you remember Service Merchandise, right?

I might not be running a pair of titans in my rig, but IF, and that's a BIG FUCKING IF the game ever comes out, I plan on getting it just to see how poorly it runs on a high-end system. Returning it of course, because fuck giving them any money for this monstrosity.

I imagine that a huge source of salt is going to be all the review videos showcasing their specs and their framerate and all the crashes that occur. It will be an assault that Brianna cant defend against and will show how much of a fraud she and her game are.

Depends how strict your definition is. I'd say no, but he is married to the physical manifestation of tumblr.

Plus he is a total cuck. And again, not as a throwaway slur, his gargantuan behemoth of a wife fucks other guys with his knowledge.

Wu is so desperate to make people think he's doing a bunch of high tech stuff but it's really just changing some colors which a fucking child could do.

Oh look, I rewrote an entire section.

Also, did you ever look at the BRIANNA WU PWNS MISOGYNIST TROLL article's comments? Let's just say she fooled no one.

My favorite was the guy comparing it to Bubsy 3D Visits the James Turrell Introspective.

Reading through the lolcow wiki article is pretty interesting. I think what annoys me the most about the game is the use of purple. It looks like the place holder texture the source engine uses when the actual texture can't be found. Half of Brianna's game looks like it's screaming "Missing Texture" at me and it's giving me flash backs to my old Garry's Mod days.

Thats especially fun when its a reflective texture.

I'll give it a go on my PC.

It can run nearly everything on max settings at 60fps so I'm kind of curious.

Guys, that's not MS Paint. It's Unreal Development Kit (64 bit, DX9). You can tell on the original.

As for the game, it looks like John is going through the "manic" phase and just throwing all sorts of shit at the canvas.
He has to do something about the game. I mean, it was in developement hell for about 2 years and he has to change it visibly in order to justify why it did take so long to code. He can't just admit to slacking off, so he'll just add random shader effects, yank that up to 11 and hope the game will somehow magically run.
The graphics were below PS1 standards in the original game, which was acceptable given it's platform, but you can't release a game like that on PCs nowadays, even if you could navigate the levels freely (which you can't).
All Wu can do is to slap a few new textures on the models here and there, somehow try to impress people with shader effects and pray to godbear noone calls her out on that bullshit. Seriously, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if all the cutscenes are now pre-rendered videos, taking us back to the glorious days of FMV-Games.

I still can't fathom how anyone would think "type a few words to perform an action"-QTE would equal "fun gameplay".
Walking around in that game is shit due to being confined to basically a rail. The combat mechanics suck. The QTE-Elements suck. The characters behave like bratty highschool girls when they're not busy being compelte assholes or tryhard "Oh-so-kewl" heroines.

I might be wrong, but she hasn't mentioned the typing mechanic in awhile or shown it in any screenshots - wouldn't be surprised if she realized it was fucking stupid and removed it.

In that case, the combat system (or any skill test for that matter) would boil down to "draw a circle with your mouse", which is even worse.
