You know. I learned a number of things from my Grandfather and my father.

Respect Sikhs for who they are. Their beliefs and culture are amazing. (Never mind the food!)

They're also quite, quite willing to fuck you up if you're beating down on someone. Kirpan wearers especially. Nobody fucking dared do shit in the Sikh areas of London during the 2011 riots. The locals were armed and organized with either long sticks or family daggers.

To be honest, this was always going to happen because... this happens all the fucking time you get some dopey cunt who has a few too many bevvies then screams and shouts at someone for being a bit dusky.

Numerous situations have happened about this and we deal with it by telling them to stfu or even find and arrest them.

Long before the referendum was a thing a woman was convicted for hate speech for screaming away at some muslim girls on the tube. Another was arrested and charged for hurling the zimmerframe off of the bus that belonged to an 80 year old Muslim.

The thing about these useful morons thinking that particular mood has shifted is it means we can spot them in the open and challenge them for their stupidity. Or arrest their dumb asses. [Edit:] Both of the instigators were black, too.

My favourite is this picture;

I thought the banner looked a bit old and tatty.

See the lettering in the top corner?

NF.

Fucking National Front which stopped being an organization over 30 years ago now. :story:

But yeah, well done there guys. Four whole people in a city of 288,000 which actually voted slightly Remain. You go into the twitter convo and you see someone challenge him on this immediately.

I think you guys should consider that one of your politicans was killed a week ago because a nutso. There is going to be a lot of false alarms but is also kind of silly dismissing the possibility that there a toxic political and social climate.

Nutsos are nutso because they're nuts. The political climate could be sunshine and rainbows and puppy kisses, and it wouldn't make a difference once the crazy switch flips to "kill."

I hate how the butthurt Remainers just throw around the word "fascist" like some sort of nonsense word that you can just substitute for any other bad meaning you want it to mean. They got to VOTE. It isn't fucking fascist.

They got to vote but the demographic most strongly for remain chose not to vote. Well, guess what happens when you do that? You fucking lose.

But that doesn't contradice the "violent muslims" that some people here have claimed to be an epidemic? Because will be nutso doing nutso stuff.

I'd be more worried about a wave of violence against geriatrics. It's hilarious how the "right wing" winning a referendum is cause for fear of physical violence, but the vicious rhetoric about racist old white people and their shit pointless existence that is nothing but an obstacle to the glorious future is of course completely harmless and will have no consequences. Because if you do a Venn diagram of the people commiting violent street crime and physical assaults and political affiliation, it's 100% "fascists", obviously.

I mean, the guy did give his name as 'death to traitors, freedom for Britain' in court. I reckon the political climate had something to do with it.

Mair's story is still enormously confusing tbh. He seemed to be some sort of quiet closet neo nazi that never did anything or even really speak on politics; But had a massive history of mental health problems. He came into a drop in centre for mental health issues the day before he apparently went off the deep end.

His cartoonish appearance in court just kind of confirms he was a crazy.

Gotta love how the media are now circling back to "evil racist nazi brownshirts", I guess the "dumb ignorant disgusting poors" was getting old.

Ignoring the youth is also going to be a problem. It's the fault of young voters to not take this seriously, but they are still potential voters that, as stupid they can be, they are not really happy right now.

Only around 36% of young people actually voted though, and 75% of those were remain, so that's 27% of young people who give a shit. They shouldn't be ignored, but I don't think they're going to be a major problem.

Do you honestly think that physical attacks on minorities are going to be an issue because the UK voted to leave the EU? This is the same sort of nonsense that's put about every time there is a muslim terrorist attack by the regressive media, the endless worry about the mythical racist "backlash" towards innocent muslims that somehow never seems to materialize, and is focused on just long enough for the event to fade into the background, and then never spoken of again, until the next time it's needed. If there hasn't been fucking retarded racist lynch mobs on the streets hunting minorities after some of it's members literally slaughter hundreds in terrorist attacks all over Europe, it's not going to happen over fucking Brexit. It's just more blatant manipulation.

That Mair dude has been barking for years. He just found the catalyst within the brexit debate.

Feels like a lot of potential voters or, worse, a lot young people not liking the democratic process. The last one is not good at all in the long run.

Dude, most young people talk/think utter shit until they have to handle real life without mom and dad. Then sense begins to filter in.

"In the long run" most of them will get a clue and grow up. Those that don't end up like Chris Chan.

The vast majority didn't give two shits. The only people of that age group right now are (alleged) 75% of the (actual) 36% that could give enough of a fuck to vote at all according to the (now widely discredited) polling companies.

I work in a place where a good chunk of the staff are under 30 and they weren't voting Remain. My old work place has largely come out the same (Remainers were the minority there as well).

We have to remember we're watching the echo chamber and a double bubble (London + Twatterati) here and laughing at the salt.

If enough of them gave an actual fuck about politics (many don't until they're older and more conservative leaning anyways) they'd have been out and voting enough to make an actual difference. The fact is this tiny minority is increasingly fascistic/eugenicists leaning because they're simply not "getting their way". Most sensible heads are calling them the spoiled brats they are.

18-25 was 36% this rose up to a fairly big 58% for my age group (25-34) and rose by steady increments for the other two age groups (35-65 and 65+) topping out at 68% for the 65+.

Considering how long the polls were open (7am-10pm) "Oh I had work/shopping/went out" was not a fucking excuse and some 33 million people cast their votes.
