Bit of a political ignoramus here, but I AM glad to see Brexit win. I like the UK and would like to see it do as well as possible, and the EU has been in weird shape for a long time now. You'd think Tumblr would know that if a relationship turns bad and your S.O. starts demanding you only do certain things or be friends with certain people, you dump his ass.

Those rules are superseded by "racism" and "islamophobia". It doesn't matter if they're absolutely in the wrong. They are darker-skinned, so they are automatically more oppressed.

I... really don't get the fuss these people are making over all this. They're no longer part of the EU, Great Britain still exists and with the exception of being able to travel and work in any other member country not a lot has changed.
Besides, I always felt that Great Britain was always a nominal member of the EU but not really full on with them. Part of that had to do with their location, being a bunch of islands and all but they never adopted the Euro. GB always kept the pound and I thought it was odd when all other European countries had accepted the Euro including France and Germany.
Can some kind soul, preferably European, explain this whole thing as to why the UK leaving is such a bad thing or are these people just acting out because of drama?

But that's the thing I don't understand. What does race have to do with it? I'm sure there are some idiot Neo-Nazis making noises about it, but there's ALWAYS idiot Neo-Nazis making noises about something. If I understood this correctly, the UK wants to not be dictated to by Brussels, and there was some stuff in there about immigration caps. (Ignorant Yank here, so pardon the oversimplification.) That's got nothing to do with race or racism. Fuckin' 'ell.

If I were to hazard a guess: some perceive that UK leaving the EU will result in unchecked limits on immigration, hence the accusations of discrimination.

The belief among Remainers is that those who wanted to leave were primarily fueled by being against immigration (And they aren't completely wrong.)
