EDIT: Joined Mike from PAs server and talking to the idiot himself, he has a strawmanning addiction. ( Update: Got banned from both MikefromPAs server for calling him a special ed kid to his face and Thought Slimes for not wanting to murder people I disagree with, but from an Anarchist perspective kill people with actual Political Authority and that includes Socialists. Second Edit: left AzureCommunist or somethings server, dude basically rammed me about my Rhodesian Wojak pfp ( my Granduncle fought in the Bush War as a Merc and I admire my granduncle so I use it as my pfp ) but no retardation besides that ) )

A lot of academics and "journalists" do this for various reasons. Zero Books is really bad about this and I think it's almost necessary with how unpalatable leftist views are to "the proletariat". They use complicated words and sentence structure, colorful graphics, simplistic good v bad binary, and simple terms in propaganda videos, depending on the format and target. Doctoral theses, pseudo intellectual "educational" channels(PhilosophyTube, Knowing Better), animated breadtube videos(Extra Credits and the "I Hate Mondays" video creator), and PragerU ripoffs(Gravel Institute) implement these(loosely in that order).
One Zero Books video comes to mind where the narrator describes a Halloween world where starburst is used as currency and trick or treating is every day. Almost the entire video is description with a statement at the end that people may not like starburst or become sick of them. At no point does he explain the message he was conveying which may have been about how currency is bad. The viewer could also interpret the video as a fictional example of the failure of the barter system.
Theses in marxistic studies seem to use "word salad" as a method to signal intelligence and membership of academia, at least in my experience with them.

This is basically academic cargo-cultism. They do it because this kind of idiocy is common with midwits in the fields as well. Even with moderately valuable articles I need to wade through pages of retarded jargon that make simple concepts complicated in order to forge new and unique fields for people to pretend are different from their peers.

It's like the phenomenon of Sonic OCs but with philosophy and social science. To become notable you have to found a new field, but the fields are so hyper-specialized and useless that nobody cares anymore. People make OC Donut Steel fields to stand out in a sea of mediocrity.

Worse, some of them are just normal fields but with new names to pretend they're new so that old literature can be discarded in favor of modern neolib propaganda.

Also I rarely see Luna Oi brought up, while at least Infrared is funny, Luna oi is a Vietnamese Communist/Marxist Leninist/Pure Cringe. Shes pretty hot ngl, but shes legit a party members daughter and acts like a valley girl for her shit ideas, shes also married to Noncompete and thinks Vaush is somehow an Anti-Communist lol.

Maybe it's, subconsciously, why I dislike it- when you rely on too many metaphors that try to simplify complex problems AND complicated words for things that can be expressed simply it reeks of manipulation. Or trying to make the viewer feel less educated (therefore more likely to trust the "authority"), while also pandering to simple understanding of common situations, which is slimy as fuck. All of that is also hidden by lots of colors, costumes... I like artistry, but I'm more likely to trust information if it's without pizazz.
I get that capturing one's audience is important and even pop science channels do it. The difference is, most people don't feel like marine biologists or nuclear physicists after watching a cartoony video about whales and nukes. On the other hand, a lot of people with interest in culture wars think they're being educated by these channels and it's pretty scary.

Using big words and jargon doesn't suck in new people. Like with comic books, every video you make could be the first video someone sees on the subject. Make it accessible. There's a reason "simplified" type channels do so well.

I don't care if I sound dumb in my videos I'm just trying to make my audience laugh. And when they are distracted laughing that's when I slide in my communist propaganda.

Maybe they're mimicing their app deployments where their app is on: Java Virtual Machine -> Kubernetes container engine -> operating system virtual machine -> hypervisor -> hardware. Maybe Inception is real but its simulations instead of dreams and you have to be from the chosen tribe to get out. :thinking:
