Some of them are so immersed in their historical hugboxes online that they will try to tell you that living under the eastern block was heaven on earth and that ACKTUALY Stalin was a super benevolent leader who was so much more tolerant than the current U.S government. Any attempt to tell them otherwise will result in them accusing you of believing in CIA propaganda and using arguments along the lines of “USA racist therefore the CCP should be believed”.

Cuban standard of living is better than American.

Chinese firewall is good because he thinks it’s the same as a

UN intervention in the Korean War was genocide against the Korean people.

The few times I’ve tried to argue with him he just describes me as being brainwashed without explaining how, and refers to random leftists on the internet as being more trustworthy than professional sources because “you can’t listen to western/CIA propaganda”.

He’s genuinely doing what he thinks is right and has a lot of good qualities but he’s let the internet twist his worldview into an abomination.

The way Lindsay Ellis decided she didn't like Brittany just because Brittany was mostly unfamiliar with her videos, the way Lindsay tried to cause a wedge between Nyk and Brittany by rumour-mongering about Brittany triggering Nyk's mental illness for sharing a picture that everyone else was sharing, the way Nyk refused to discuss this with Brittany in private amongst themselves and instead went off with Lindsay... these people are such fucking trash. Yet they are worshipped by millions.
