I suspect he was willing to trade in raw view count for a better chance of catching whales. Given Youtube's tendency to demonitize any political content, especially rightwing ones, it makes sense to change teams. While progressives are far from being a majority, even among democrats, they skew wealthier and more well connected.

Don't.

If you really want to:
Have a clear goal. Something like "get a specific point across to my viewers."
If it's a small time youtuber, look at ShortFatOtaku's "debates" with small streamers to see how they behave.
Learn Destiny's/Vaush's/Hunter's strategy.
Don't let them change the subject and control the direction.
Take your time thinking about a response. It's not as much dead air as people think.
Don't spill your spaghet.
Ask @Flamenco.
I think most of these people haven't read theory and rely on rhetoric from US media outlets.

I have streamed with Adam once before on a comicsgate show. I don't believe he fully falls into the breadtube category hence my use of breadtube-ish. I think his 50k+ audience certainly has an over lap with that circle though.

This is good advice.

The way I see it is that I don't have to win the debate I just have to be smart enough to make his audience laugh with me (ideally at themselves) and then I can't lose. Obviously the fate of the world doesn't rely on this debate, we're not going to usher in collectivism the next day... its a promotional exercise to show anti-breadtubers "hey look at the funny commi3 man"

When I saw this on the one hand I was happy to see someone call out the uber rich brocialist for what was plainly a shitty thing to do (he used Jay Exci's video as filler for his stream, getting up to leave while the video played and his cam just showed an empty chair for 5 minutes while he went to get food, then came back and ate and had no reaction, was just deadpan to the video the whole time, and didn't give Jay's channel fair credit) But on the other hand, I've enjoyed both Mauler and Jay's content about media I'm interested in, and seeing them get dragged futher into the cesspool of political youtube is depressing to me. Mauler's also been on Sitch and Adam's stream a few times, mostly to point out why Vaush is a moron,

Hasan's response to the situation was "I have to stream for 10+ hours a day while youtubers only have to make like, one video a month, therefore I'm entitled to use your video as filler for my stream while I get up and leave." Hasan obviously has no idea the amount of work that goes into videos made by creators who upload monthly who don't have paid editors working for them. He think's making a youtube video requires as much effort as a day of streaming. But is that really a surprise from the same guy who refused to pay an editor who was working for him because he bought the guy the pc he works for Hasan on and Hasan went "See?? I gave him control of the means of production, so I don't have to pay him for working on the video that I'm going to benefit from."

Hasan literally only just about has enough brain cells to allow him to not be constantly drooling all over himself.

It's easy to dismiss people you don't agree with as being a stupid. But Hassan is legit an idiot, and should not be involved with political commentary. He should have stuck to the male modeling.
