I've seen people describe all users of specific boards some heinous things and nobody from that board bats an eye despite how narrow a lens and how precise the category is. So I don't see why people get riled up when somebody says "all men/women on this site are giant degenerates" and see the need to counter this sentiment every single time it's posted, especially when that's an even broader generalization which is a more blatantly hyperbolic statement.

Are you going to change their mind, or are you going to convince anyone watching this isn't true? Because they either are already convinced or can't be convinced. The argument is amusing to watch, but I'm curious if the people engaging with it are in on the joke and are just playing their part or if they truly believe they're making a difference.

Or, put more simply, are you really falling for bait this obvious or are you trying to out-bait them back not-so-obviously? Because this has gone on for far too long to chalk up to mere irony.
