Fury is astonishingly good, but his mental demons hold him back and he never seems to prepare as well as he could.

However due to his size and his remarkable skills, even at a lot less than he is capable of, he is an incredible heavyweight boxer.

I would have loved to see him fight Vitali Klitschko, but their ages never really made this a realistic prospect.

Fuck you, Dillian. The ref said at the start of the match to protect yourself at all times. If the ref doesn't see it it's not a penalty. Whining like this is just bad sportsmanship and poor form. "Bu-but Fury cheated!" Not according to the ref, so shut the hell up.

Just want to say that both Mike Tyson and Tyson Fury are the real definition of underdogs who never pretend to be something that they’re not, and for that, they are really special boxers.

It goes without saying, but something about the name “Tyson” brings out the champion in a person.
 
Did anyone have any real belief in Whyte after he got sparked the fuck out by Povetkin? Sure, ARE DILLIAN beat that Russians ass in the rematch, but that's the way it should have been to begin with. I would define Dillian Whyte as the best gatekeeper in heavyweight boxing today, and nothing more.
 
CANelo Alvarez just lost to Dmitrii Bivol in what I thought was an excellent fight. For those of us who watch Eurobums, this should come as no surprise. Bivol had a close decision against Craig Richards in 2021 (thanks to British scoring, IMO) and also a ho hum defense against Umar Salimov. My belief is that Canelo thought this was another can to crush, and went for it. 175 is not his weight.

I love what Bivol does in the ring. He answers damn near every punch with two punches, and just shows zero emotion in there. Not the most fan friendly style, but for those of us who have been in the ring, or even around it, we appreciate it.
 
So I watched the YT fights lolz.

All I can say over all in cliffs :Dr Mike was just more fit than Icuckz.
JFC Arin is a beast and I don't know him but Sam Made Harley a killer, He beat him like a sad dick. Harley fought like a pro. Now the match was BS he was huge on Arin. But fuck Harley didn't play why a TKO on round two. Early second round Arin dropped his arms and Harley just comboed him till ref ended it. Now for a half dozen reasons they were a bad match. But Harley fought Arin half his size didn't expect it. I loved this fight it wasn't good it was dirt but a real fighter vs a "gamer". Harley aside using his size etc, swarmed than combod.

Also, Sam, I love you bro you just shot like down 5 migs in Ukraine, killed a dozen people in NY and come for a fight you YOU HAVE TO STOP.

Aside it all Arin was put in a total BS situation. I don't know my YT fame and shit but Arin is my homie from this fight. Dude took a whoppping right and enjoyed it and played hard.
 
Finally got some time to sit down and do a better write up on the Bivol v. Alvarez fight. Being a night wagie is really detrimental to watching boxing! But enough of that prairie shit.

Well well, looks like Adelaide Byrd couldn’t bail out Canelo this time. If you look back a few posts, you see that we have seen Mr. Avarez’s opponent, Dmitry Bivol before. He eked out a close decision against Craig Richards, a gatekeeper level guy in light heavyweight. The close scores I attribute to BR*T*SH scoring, as I had the fight far wider. My gut tells me that Canelo saw another Eurobum, and decided to go for another easy title. Good LORD, what a bad decision that was. Anyone who follows Bivol should have been running to the bookies with their life savings in hand, betting on BIVOL BY DECISION. The only other time I have seen Canelo look this frustrated was waaaaay back when he fought Floyd Mayweather, which is incidentally the last time be picked up an L. So congratulations are in order to Dmitry Bivol, who is STILL da champ, and also a great motivational speaker. This has to be the best post fight interview ever.


The question now is where does Canelo go? There are a few guys at LHW that he might be able to take out. Beterbiev comes up often, but I don’t think that the risk is worth the reward there. Beterbiev doesn’t have the best chin, but he is a CANNON. Joe Smith? Bigger, stronger, and at least as tough as Canelo. A Bivol rematch? Expect more of the same. Bivol is not GGG, who is swiftly falling victim to age. He will improve the next fight, and embarrass Canelo further. Zurdo? I don’t see a path to victory there without a heavy toll, and extreme risk. I think 175 is the hard ceiling for Ireland’s son, Canelo Alvarez.

He has sharks circling underneath him as well, such as Benavidez, the Charlos, and even GGG. It is this reporters belief that he needs to go back to 168, and keep his belts, set some defense records, etc. There is a LOT of action at SMW, and he is competitive there. Time will tell.

I know yotubers fighting is weak but eh cross over here. About 5 years behind on the trend for internet people boxing each other. Andy warksi (Internet bloodsport/ Ralph forum internet famous) was hoping to fight ethan Ralph with keem star as the producer? Fight organiser? Ralph of course was never going to do it and got formally dumped by Keem. It's been announced Andy Warski is going to be the undercard to the KSI fight in London. Warski will be boxing Salt Papi.

Salt Papi seen fighting here. Haven't watched it yet. Will do later tonight.

I'm unsure whether to ask here or in Weightlifting, but what workouts tend to be typical for the average fighter? I'm certainly way too old to learn and fight professionally, being 21, but I want to eventually be able to spar and such. I've been learning shadowboxing and working out at my shitty garage gym, and I'm wanting to eventually center my workout around training my body for boxing.

I couldn't offer advice on workouts, but a bit of internet/YouTube research could assist with that. There have been some notable heavyweights (and I'm sure lighter weight boxers as well) that started boxing your age or older. Ron Lyle and Ken Norton among them.
