One thing that seems uniquely Boomer is their understanding of retirement.
When you retire you are not just retiring from work, but from family.

Its actually quite a shame. I remember the Greatest/Silent Gen patriarchs and matriarchs of old. Organizing events and wanting to develop relationships with all of their grandchildren and nieces/nephews.
My sister's in-laws did this. Her husband has 3 siblings and between them there's 6 grandkids. What did the Boomer parents do?

Leave the area where all of their family and grandkids live and move to Louisiana (a place they had never been before up until deciding to live there for some reason) to live in a trailer on a friend's property. The property itself is quite nice, a big country house with plantation vibes. They sold their house to make this move happen. Living cheap in a trailer and living off a small state pension and whatever equity they got off their house.

Boomers will go through hell and high water to never pay you the fee, but will go through some lunatic methodology and go insane from it to only spend their $250 "savings" in the end doing it themselves. Boomer financing and savings is truly something else.
Boomers get extremely asshurt and take it personally at anything they perceive as a slight to them. They don’t understand the value of time and money. So they’ll waste hours to save a few dollars. Then they’ll blow more money on some stupid shit and not think twice about it.

Which is hilarious because they are also super susceptible to good salesmen. Crawl up their ass and they'll overspend on expensive coffee makers or luxury furniture they don't need and will never use.

if it drives their ego and unbridled narcissism, ie, they think that coffee maker or luxury furniture will make them look impressive or smart they will pay any amount for the consumer experience. The level of naivete combined with their level depratvity is still horrifying that anyone like this could exist and be living indoors.

Anyone else notice that Null rants like a raging boomer whenever taxes come up?
It's become more frequent in MATI episodes and a lot of his USPG2 sperging follow a similar pattern.

My favorite one is when a boomer said he was going to just do half the job himself and we told him that doesn't change the price. Also, he fucked up the job, so he charged him more. To fix his mistakes.
My favorite one is let's call this woman Dumb Bitch number One. Dumb bitch number one kept calling us for about two months straight saying we agreed to do her project, which was we doing paving stones. She bought the plastic ones, put the wrong sand in, and we told her it's going to be like $3000 just because we have to remove at least two and a half tons of sand that she put in. The thing is, when you put down payables, you got to put down a layer of rock and not mix rock with sand.

I don't understand boomers love for post secondary education. I have begun attending college for the first time due to switching career paths and i have personally not enjoyed it as much I thought I would. Maybe it's because when I was younger they talked it up like it is some sort of life altering event every adult goes through like a rite of passage. Or how they people you meet will be your friends for life (despite me being older than most of the people in college and the fact I still maintain good friendships with people from highschool and elementary school). Do boomers think that graduating post secondary is what truly defines adulthood? Maybe boomers loved it because they smoked lots of joints and did LSD and slacked off and had lots of carefree irresponsible sex with people they had no intention of having a relationship with. Or maybe it's because it was significantly cheaper and actually led to a well paying fulfilling career in a job market they hadn't destroyed yet.

My mom dropped out of community college in the 1970s. She has a weird worship of it even now. I completed an undergrad and masters but it disgusted me how much of it is a complete waste of time. Especially for a computer science education. I would never have gone if Uncle Sam wasn't footing the bill after I generously donated 5 years of my time to him.

Anywho, she dropped out of community college to go work at a local scuba diving store because she thought SCUBA was cool. After some years of this ended up owning the store and becoming an instructor. Pivoting this into a successful small business that became her career. My father and her owned a house and both managed their own small businesses. A small retail store and instruction business and a commercial tuna fishing business (he owned his own boat).

I tell her how going this route is basically impossible today and you would be impoverished if you tried in most cases. She got in and got out of the small scale retail business before internet sales and scale consumed her. Not even realizing it. Nonetheless its just the bootstraps conversation and "deal with it" in terms of advice.

It is annoying.

My boomer family is the same way. They all were humanity and soft science majors so they got to fuck off and get shitcanned at house parties in-between homework assignments instead of waking up at 6am to start on 10hrs of school every day surrounded by trannies like I did but idk I think I was just going into it with the wrong perspective, yknow?

I recently
One thing I’ve noticed is Boomers getting dementia/Alzheimer’s really early, at least compared to earlier generations.

I’m seeing boomers who just barely turned 70 getting struck with dementia. For reference, my two greatest gen grandmothers didn’t start having dementia until they were 83-85.
Boomers have a lot more sugar, processed carbohydrates and seed oils in their diets.
You'll see it even worse amongst later generations.

Most boomers I have met are biased stuck up sacks of shit who believe they are always in the right. The vast majority of them always have an ego where they believe they’re the smartest in the room when it couldn’t be further from the truth. How have you went through your entire life and you haven’t looked at other peoples point of view once? They always want things done their way and throw a tantrum when it’s slightly different. Can’t wait for these dickheads to finally die off so we can start fixing the world.

Though there are some cool boomers who look up to the younger generation and have a lot of humility, but they’re very very rare.

No wonder why they are so vulnerable to pajeets.

So they’ll waste hours to save a few dollars. Then they’ll blow more money on some stupid shit and not think twice about it.

They'll waste hours of another person's time to save themselves a few dollars, anyway. The very concept of diminishing returns is like a personal affront to them when someone else's time is being wasted.

Boomers speak of poverty and struggle. Reveal that life was easy.

You’d think with age comes wisdom, but that guy missed the memo.

Man thinks he found an infinite money glitch by antagonizing the police through his actions.

From 2026 in the New York Post, original source is Reddit so take it with a grain of salt but a completely believable yarn. The parents are solid GenX'ers age-wise but splendidly exhibit the true Boomer spirit.

Alleged teen (UK) lottery winner asks ‘Am I the a–hole?’ for refusing to split $4.5M with parents: ‘They called me selfish’

A 19-year-old who claims to have scored a £4 million ($4.5 million) prize in a UK lottery is asking social media if he should have split his winnings with his parents.

In a thread featured in the Reddit.com group r/AmITheAsshole, the unidentified teen wrote that he won the UK Lotto earlier this year.

While the money is currently “diversified into several index funds,” he wrote in a May 28 post, he originally intended to earmark £750,000 for his mom, 47, and dad, 49, as a “thank you.”

“They were talking about retiring, going on holiday, buying a boat and new car, travelling the world, etc. I asked them how much they expected to have.”

“Stone cold face,” he described, “they say half.”

“I understand that with giving half, having £2M left is already enough, but why should they be entitled to that?” he asked Reddit users.

I worked with the boomer who refused to use track soles or any type of guide to do cuts. He said. Back in my day, we didn't have track saw . Even the track saw have existed, you know, for. Decades at this point.
Now I know I do plywood whips by simply. Free handing it, but the fact of the matter is it's much easier to just use a fucking track. Saw

I'm all about being able to use tools with skill, but the fact of the matter is making your life more difficult because you wanna prove something is fucking stupid.

At least one of the stonemasons who taught me fully acknowledged that you should just use a hammer drill and a spade bit to knockout old grout rather than sitting there with a fucking hammer and chisel.

Another thing not acknowledge is the menace of boomer gold ads who literally pampered their daughters and gave them absolutely everything, turning them into entitled annoying little princesses. And when they slut around and fuck their lives up they always bail them out and give them 10s of thousands of dollars and new cars and tell the sons bootstraps but pay for the daughters entire medical degree.

Also, boomers have this weird obsession with hiring young women because they wanna fuck all these 19 and 20 year olds isn't also another fun fact. Do you think it's Gen Z men giving only fans thoughts money? Nah, the Super whales of every single thing is propped up by boomers. Vegas is also propped up by boomers. So we should really just take away these people Social Security checks, but then only fans las Vegas and every gambling establishment would be out of business.
