Bob liked pondering about the world that we live in and why grass is green or how deep can you dig a hole? Chris, on the other hand, refuses to look at the world around him because in CWCville grass is the colour of whatever marker still has ink and any hole obviously digs you to china - the reproductive organ, not the country.

If Bob appeared semi-locally with his “musical pushcart”— sharing his music collection with diners and nostalgia groups, that might explain his license plate of ‘I B Mr. C” as a sort of “yup, it’s me, the music guy” kind of shout out.

This is further proof that Barb was the one that supplied the fucked up genes. Bob was not an ideal father, far from it if you start questioning why his other kids avoided his funeral but he did spawn two doctors as well as being an accomplished engineer himself with several patents. Barb on the other hand comes from a father that died falling from a horse drawn cart, a bootlegger grandfather and she also shat out Cole.

Bob brought music and happiness to people in Charlottesville malls with his musical cart.
I'll give you the music part, but happiness? How would you like to be trying to eat dinner at Linda's Garden Cafe (the "Meet'In Eat'In Greet'In Place") while some old dude wanders around the restaurant pushing a cart blaring big band and jug band music?

Unless the other diners were also Bob's age, I could see that being one hell of an annoyance.

More than likely, the whole "Mr. C" thing was just an affectation of Bob's. Remember Bob's workshop with the "Dream Studio of Mr. C and Little C" sign? Mr. C was probably just Bob's preferred nickname for himself.

The bolded part makes it sound like exactly the sort of place where you should expect jug music.

Chris got his tendency to show off his autism in public from his dad... :story:

To quote Bob from the taped Emily log:
'I sure have led an interesting life...'

Saddest part was, every time he tried to talk to her about his work at General Electric, his time during the Korean War, or at College, Chris would interrupt him with sperging... :(

Just goes to show you, just because a man holds a position you disagree with or has (what you believe is) an irrational prejudice, it doesn't mean he's stupid.

...I'm still waiting patiently for the day Chris hands over the deed to his house to Idea Guy in exchange for some magic beans.

Although if you look at that old-timey flyer, it reads a lot like how Chris writes. I wonder if there's some kind if connection between Bob's old-timey hobbies and Chris's stunted writing ability?

Bob wasn't perfect but seems like he was pretty chill

I always thought that he was the one person who really tried his best to make Chris self sufficient. As much as he could, anyhow. He may not have been a perfect person, but the fact that he made an effort was decent.
