Volume 6 chapter 1 has been good so far. Sensei actually feels like a teacher this time. Making sure everyone has been keeping up with their studies and educating the other Aruis students. Will he beable to turn these broken girls into functional members of society (of course he will. Its Sensei we talking about!)? stay tuned!

The moment Sensei and Saori shared was such a heart touching moment. From asking for Sensei forgiveness, to breaking down after seeing the gunshot wound and being able to forgive herself.

Really nice, great seeing all the Trinity students again (I think trinity has the least appearances in events) and it's an expansion of sensei being an actual sensei in Vol. 3. The concept for the plot is good, with Arius being hilariously dark, and even Nagisa actually got off that damned chair.

Also Subaru has a giraffe neck

You know its doing great where the reaction I saw about Arius during Volume 6 can best be described as

"Beatrice didn't suffer enough! Let's get her back and kill her properly!"

Is it me or they changed the story sprites in the new volume to have animation but did it pretty badly (basically stretching the model)?
Haven't they always had animation? I don't mean just the script-specific things, like for an example, "bounce and do the train sound" - all character sprites have some degree of Live2D that makes them do stuff like blink, if left idle. Hope I'm not making up stuff. Maybe the Arius mobs had this applied to them in a rushed manner that's more jarring?

No theyre static sprites. Only the halo moves.

Also I've been KEK-ing hard at sexual deviants on Xitter claiming the knowledge liberation front of Red Winter (Meru and Momiji) successfully propagated yuri fanfics, when Meru's attempt at writing a yuri fanfic of I believe it was Ako and Hasumi got immediately stopped by Nodoka, because it'd create actual tension between Gehenna and Trinity academies. This is a nod to RPS (real person slash, basically homosexual fanfics based on real people) being considered taboo in Korea and Japan. This is normalized in western fanfic culture because sites like AO3 have already existed for years at that point.

Oh and also the dojinshis that Takane and Yakumo were selling at the winter comic festival? Clearly just your dime a dozen boy-girl romance mangas, literally no mention of yuri anywhere at all, it's fucking funny seeing them trying to say it's yuri in order to fulfill their sexual fantasy for these school children. It's just so tiring as someone who actually plays the game as intended and reads the stories.

Looks like it depends on both the sprite and situation:
-When viewed in the "Students" -menu (upgrade screen), everyone only has the basic "main body and halo bob up and down, deparately" -idle animation. The movement on Halo is much more noticeable, though. I had to place cursor as a benchmark to verify that the main body does move slightly.
-Subaru in the Guide Task has the same limitations as above
-However, at least in the current event menu, we have proof that I wasn't making up stuff. Everyone from Arius squad has an idle animation that includes blinking!
-After some quick digging, a separate example with Iroha's sprite having the blinking functionality under some circumstances:

(One of the earliest scenes in Mini Story -> The Red Winter Tour Log. In most scenes, she does not blink.)

hell naw, trinity is actually getting too much attention through events, let's not forget that there is still 2 events related to trinity coming. Gehenna is recently getting the end of the stick on events since the third anniversary event (and the Panchan even one, though that one was a shelved event which got brought back due to the circumstances, so I don't count it)

I'd argue that we're already have enough for Gehenna to take a breather and that while we do have the next two events (after this Wild Hunt one) being Trinity centric, they aren't necessarily focused on them beyond "oh there's amusement park that has magical girls innit" or "Trinity has their own market for stuff like doujins n shit just like back in red winter!"

I also argue that the Trinity stuff are also covered in Volume 6 due to its strong ties with Arius (and delving into the background of their pasts), so its not like we are losing much in terms of appearances in events. At the very least, now that they are currently finishing the Decagrammaton plotline for good, there is possibility that they would put more focus on either gehenna again or trinity just to give more incentive or whatever to play in the future.

Anyway, speaking about magical girls, they would be the banners after the 2nd batch of Wild Hunt students, and considering how global is faster than ever, its likely that they wouldn't give us like, dead week/banner to recuparate, so it is probably a wise move to just skip the new girls and save up.

Yeah my notes for pulling says Miyo/Ritsu/Fuyu aren't limited and Fuyu and Miyo being kinda good for Yesod but not necessary to pull for them right now. Save for Magical girls (M.Reisa and Suzumi are also both good for Yesod and M.Reisa is decent for everything else, too) and then save real hard on pyrox until fes, maybe roll a few times for Dress Michiru if you have a bit of a surplus because she's basically S.Shiroko but with a ST Heal.

Gehenna is weird because you have the Gourmet Club appear all the time but the rest, besides Problem Solvers or specific individuals, don't have dedicated events.

a rather random realization, but ba just casually reminded me that i've been playing for an entire year....

If I was made to write a Gehenna story:
>Sensei receives a call from Erika
>Tells him to come to Gehenna because there's chaos brewing
>Obligatory "must be a day ending in Y" -joke
>Erika explains it's actually serious and she doesn't even want to elaborate on phone out of wiretapping concerns
>Sensei arrives at Gehenna
>Turns out Hina and Makoto have both disappeared
>Erika discovered it by complete accident, Prefect Team and Pandemonium Society have managed to keep the situation under wraps otherwise
What happens next? I dunno. To make it proper Peak Archive would require setting up a twist that ends up being a double subversion of sorts. Maybe it's rumored that Hina and Makoto, despite being blatant rivals, are actually organizing some kind of grand conspiracy. But then it turns out they were both sent out to a mandatory vacation/bonding experience, and that's why neither the Prefect Team or Pandemonium Society alerted Sensei. I don't think this would carry an entire volume, but it would at least provide an opportunity for a Sensei speech about how Erika was acting in good faith, based on what information was available (assuming she gets blamed for calling Sensei and accidentally escalating the situation.)

If on the other hand you want a proper Volume that fleshes out Gehenna' internal politics, you could keep the "Hina and Makoto have disappeared or gone to hiding or conveniently on some kind of state visit" and the problem is some kind of political agitator loosely based on Karl Marx? I'm kind of spitballing at this point.

Another possible inspiration is the idea that Gehenna is based on West/East Germany, instead of (or at least in addition to) the WW2 vintage.

BTW... I've read a theory that the Thunder/Tyrant Emperor was actually based on Wilhelm II and not the Austrian Painter, but it was based on a "it came to me in a dream" -kind of assertion that the Gehenna's Emperor abdicated voluntarily instead of self-breaking her halo. Actually, I remember now: it was stated she left Kivotos. But it was left vague enough that it could've been an exile like Wilhelm II, regular graduation (whatever that actually means, considering characters like Shun and Kokuriko) or euphemism for something worse. Probably should address this one way or other. Either elaborate on it or establish Gehenna has an official policy: "First rule about Thunder Emperor is that we don't talk about Thunder Emperor."
