We have a thread on the Blockland Forums, a thread on Badspot, but no thread to discuss Blockland as a game; so I've created this thread to complete the holy Blockland trinity.

Blockland is easily the funniest game I've ever played. I've made so many unique memories through it and despite the state it's in, I still play it occasionally from time to time.

Maybe the game would be in a better state, at least temporarily, if it went Free To Play? It's weird to think about how this game is doing now when back in its prime it competed against Roblox which went on to be far more profitable and successful financially.
 
My bf has this game in him steam library, which is shared with me. I thought it was just a minecraft knockoff. I’m gonna check it out now, the call sign is nigger
 
Never particularly liked the building controls in this. They always felt very fiddly.
It's also in the unfortunate position of not having much to do if you're just dicking around.
Minecraft has an entire survival world to explore. GMOD has NPCs galore.
The only comparable thing in Blockland it it's multiplayer.

Also Torque is a giant pile of fucking garbage and TorqueScript can suck my ass.
 
Beside brickadia, and blockland rebuild (which has a Global Moderation, which is a terrible idea, since some mods are troons, some of which are known names from brickadia, such as that troon chaser Kenko), someone made a FOSS blockland clone called "Land of Dran".
I wonder how this will go (unlike brickadia, this game already has buildable vehicles).
