But the acquittal isn't the story for this thread. The story here is that BLM is back! The march started this evening so there's a chance were going to see a riot and some fun hijinks, especially if they try something like blocking a major road. Cops are keeping a very close watch on them though, they're not taking any chances.

Hundreds of demonstrators are beginning a march from Minnesota's state Capitol to protest a police officer's acquittal in the fatal shooting last year of a black motorist.

Officer Jeronimo (yeh-RON'-ih-moh) Yanez was cleared Friday in last July's death of Philando Castile. Yanez shot Castile during a July 6 traffic stop seconds after Castile informed him he was carrying a gun. The officer testified that Castile was ignoring his commands not to pull out the gun and he feared for his life.

The crowd Friday evening is mixed and includes many children, including some who are stenciling posters as the event continues.

Some protesters say they plan to begin a march to the nearby St. Paul Cathedral and back.

BLM is beginning to realize that they lost all backing from high-profile figures and are showing their true colors?! How shocking.
 
Was Philando Castile the one who was a convicted sex offender who diddled and impregnated a 14 year old when he was in his 20's? Or an I thinking of a different BLM mascot?
 
This was one of those police shootings that actually looked pretty unjustified from what i heard, im a little surprised the verdict was this.
Also, looks like only 17 people got arrested from the protest blocking I-94 (one being a journalist lol)

It is a viable tactic to the prep the riot squad for said riot, served it's purpose.
 
I'm convinced the majority of BLM aren't people concerned about justice but either current or aspiring criminals who would benefit enormously from police power being constrained.
 
I wonder if we've reached a point where mass public rallying for political causes where the object is to get as many warm bodies in one spot as possible to "raise awareness" is obsolete because of crap like this.

There is an entire class/profession of people who live to vandalize, annoy, attention-whore and other such things under the cover of a mob and thanks to the internet, they know where you plan to protest next and will always be there to give your organization a bad name in the eyes of the local community and law enforcement.

The just want a herd around them that makes it less likely they'll be picked off for throwing a brick at someone they don't like.

That's why they riot to chase cops out of already high crime areas, and where they get their way, like in Baltimore, the murder and violent crime rates soar.
